To the Point

Treasure Lake RV Resort is where we stayed while in Branson, Missouri. This is a private (meaning members only) campground. It’s beautiful.

A Closer View

I hesitated reviewing this one because it is private however the group called Coast to Coast is one to really consider joining. We got a promotion for $50 for the year which allows us to stay at resorts for $8.00 a night or what they call a Good Neighbor Park, which are not private, for $13.00 a night.

Treasure Lake has 590 sites on 340 acres in the heart of the Ozark Mountains.

Treasure Lake had a tennis court and not only and outdoor but indoor pool as well. There’s a volleyball net in the pool.

The sites were decent. However they are still working on this resort. Those not members of Treasure Lake are put in Phase 4. The picnic table was old and the cranes started working early in the morning.

There was a game room; a store; mini-golf, several playgrounds, hiking trail, a softball field, shuffle board, croquet, horshoes, a Frisbee golf course, a stocked fishing pond and Laundromats.

The Clubhouse has a dance floor and a stage. There was a Bingo game, a Poker tournament and dancing the nights we were there. We needed a gate card to get in.

One day we started at Phase 2 and found the trailhead for the hiking trail. This trail has other heads open to the public so there were off shoots. We had to be careful to follow the posts since we had no map. We didn’t enjoy the trail which is unusual. This was because the ground was muddy in many areas. In one area we picked up our dog, Hanna, so she wouldn’t get muddy and found her covered in ticks. The next day I found one on me. She is protected with Frontline but I’m not

I am not holding that against Treasure Lake. I would certainly stay here again if I were a Coast to Coast member.

I call this a destination campground. Although there is a lot to do in Branson (an understatment) there is a lot to do at this campground. If it were all done and there wasn't construction it would get 5 stars.
