Having the ability to exercise right in the house limits the amount of excuses one can come up with.  A tread mill is easy to use, convenient, easy to store when not in use.  Almost anyone could use it, no experience necessary.  Gets your heart pumping.  Little is… read full review »

Treadmills should be required to come with a warning that it could cause damage to knees. it should be required that the user ask the doctor or a personal trainer about the possibilities of severe damage after a short length of time on the machine. —… read full review »

I highly recommend a good treadmill to someone that has a desire to maintain a good exercise program. I want to stress good in that there are a lot of cheap and not well-made treadmills on the market for the money they are asking. — First look for a treadmill that has been proven in the industry (good reputation, one from a fitness company, etc.) — Second look only for a treadmill with a continuous horsepower motor. This will stand the rigors that will be put on the motor and will usually be included with a decent warrantee. — Thirdly. Make sure the warrantee covers the… read full review »

I think treadmills are great to have at home because it makes exercising easier.  You have no "good" excuse to not workout when it is right there in your own home.  No need to join a club with monthly dues and lets face it the people at some of the gyms aren't really trainers anyway they are nothing more than salespeople who say what you want to hear to get you to join.  Who needs that? Do your research and find what each offers and compare prices.  Depending where you live - weather and other conditions, like allergies. can keep you from enjoying a nice walk… read full review »

I purchased a treadmill about 6 weeks ago, at first I thought I would walk a couple miles a day.  I had thought this was a quick easy way to loose weight.  I started out with two miles  a day, then I have worked up to 5 miles per day.  It makes me feel good about myself.  I have lost a few pounds, but more important I have lost inches from my body.  — Walking on a treadmill has so many advantages.  No need to go out in the weather, just set it up in any room and off you go.  I find it easy to jog on the treadmill and I read.  It is… read full review »

The best thing about having a treadmill in your home is that you can excercise anytime. No need to invest in cute workout clothes or drive to the club.  For me, the best time is in the morning before the day gets started.  I roll out of bed, hit the treadmill while watching something that was Tivo'd on TV.  I don't waste time watching TV at night (sitting on the couch), but I catch the shows I like (without commercials) and while I'm working off the pounds.  — I hate working out normally, but I have found that using Tivo with the treadmill works for me. —… read full review »

I have been using a treadmill for two years and think it is the best way to get your exercise. I used to walk in my neighborhood but the weather wasn't always good for being outdoors. With a treadmill I don't care about the weather and can stay on a routine of regular excercise regardless of what the outside weather is doing.  — You can set your own pace and the time you want to spend.  I have a little TV that I watch as I do the treadmill, takes my mind off what I am doing and makes lt less boring. —  I hardily recommend treadmill excercising. —… read full review »

I've had two treadmills from different companies (my daughter "borrowed" the first one, permanently), and I think they're excellent exercisers.  BUT, they don't do much good just sitting there.  You have to be committed to using the treadmill regularly.  I always start out well, but in a couple of weeks I begin to miss exercise sessions.  After all, there's no one there to make me feel like I should continue.  So if you're not very good at committing to exercising at home, don't get a… read full review »

after recently undergoing gastric bypass surgery it is reccommended that I do some sort of exercise daily.  With an existing back injury I am limited as to the type of exercise I am able to do on a daily basis. So, after some discussions with my doctors it was unanamously agreed that a treadmill would be the best and safest form of exercise that I could do on a regular basis without further injury to my back. I have been researching all types of treadmill and have yet to decide upon the best value that meets my needs. —… read full review »

I love to exercise on a treadmill.  It is my favorite cardio machine at the gym.  You can read, listen to music or watch TV while you exercise. Treadmills are great when the weather is bad and you can't walk outside.   Another great thing about treadmills is being able to adjust the slant of the machine to give you and "up hill" climb.  You can walk at a slow pace or take a nice… read full review »

I received a treadmill last year for Christmas and it was the best gift I could have asked for.  I love to eat but wanted to lose weight.  The treadmill is easy and convienent to use.  I have managed to still basically eat what I want (within reason) and still managed to lose over 35 pounds.  I feel great and I look forward to working out at the end of each work day. … read full review »
