I highly recommend a good treadmill to someone that has a desire to maintain a good exercise program. I want to stress good in that there are a lot of cheap and not well-made treadmills on the market for the money they are asking.
First look for a treadmill that has been proven in the industry (good reputation, one from a fitness company, etc.)
Second look only for a treadmill with a continuous horsepower motor. This will stand the rigors that will be put on the motor and will usually be included with a decent warrantee.
Thirdly. Make sure the warrantee covers the motor, belt, all working parts and the software that comes with the treadmill.
Many treadmills come with preprogrammed workouts in them that are handy and easy to use.
Pick a treadmill not just for the bells and whistles but one that is easy to use and possibly with foldup features so it can be put out of the way when not in use.
Lastly utilize the helpline that is include in the instruction booklet. The company is there to assist you in getting the most out of your treadmill.
Happy exercising!!!
