I have been with Travelers Insurance for almost 2 years. I have a homeowner's and an auto insurance policy with them. When I switched to this company from Farmer's insurance back in 2007, they were already going to save me a little more than $130.00 per month...YAY! I was already sold. I mean...who is not excited about saving money? Of course I switched! Well...2008 was a very trying year for my husband and I. We experienced a break in at our home, and a car accident within 2 months of each other around holiday time.
For the car accident which occurred first, I just called Travelers to report my claim. The adjuster was out the next morning reviewing the damage before I had to go to work...talk about fast service! She took care of things right from the portable office in her car. She cut us a check before she left and said if the repair person needed any more funds to complete the work he could give her a call. My car was fixed and I had no other trouble. When I traded in the old car and bought a new one, my rate with Travelers did not change. Thank goodness!
Now for the break in at our home, we lost about $4000.00 from that incident. I called up Travelers and filed the claim. An adjuster called the same day, and we got the process started. This claim took a little longer to complete since hubby and I were responsible for faxing proof of purchase for the items that were stolen. We received our recovery check right before Christmas, so it was really easy to replace the items that were stolen.
Last week, my husband and I moved to a new place. I called Travelers to update my new information. They rated my policies for the new area, and my rates went down, even with the accident and the break in!!! I felt truly blessed. My week started of wonderful with the news of being able to save more money!
I love Travelers Insurance. I ain't going anywhere. The customer service is phenomenal and fast. I love telling people about this company.
