wild dunes resort - Isle of Palms, South Carolina
I stayed at the Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms in September 2009. Specifically, I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn. First of all, the overall check in process was great. I got my vehicle pass in the mail a week prior to my arrival, which allowed me to go right through the security/guard gate onto the property very quickly. The staff at the Inn was magnificant. Advantage Rental Cars
We had a lot of travelers and luggage so we got a minivan..the person at the desk didn't know how to type and took a half hour to type in our info. Then handed us keys and sent us into the pitch black parking lot to find our own car. The first van was filthy all over inside and out and had dents, scratches, and it looked like someone spilled crap all over the carpet. We demanded a new one. Hertz
I have completed 5 car rentals from HERTZ in the past year. Only once did I receive the car reserved. The other times, the car reserved was "not available". In each case I was given a smaller/cheaper car for the reserved price. In each case the car was filthy. I had to clean the windows, as visibility was non-existent. The cheap cloth seats were covered in dog hair, and in one case, a used condom was above the visor!
Think AVIS is any better! No way same experience with them too!
Avis
I was invloved in an auto accident with a person who was driving an Avis rental car. It has been over 3 weeks and I have had no rersponse from Avis. I clearly am the victim of Avis's poor customer service and obviously overworked claims department.
I have been assigned a claim number, adjusters name and phone numbers, yet after several attempts to reach this person and her supervisor by phone, alll I get is an answering machine and NO ONE respnses. I then faxed an accident report showing their client was clearly at fault, along with the estimate for damages and still absolutely no response....

Dollar Rent A Car
I suggest that no military or disabled veterans, like me, ever rent from dollar. Don't get ripped off like I did! The Management does not respect us nor do they want to talk to us. They say one thing and do something else. BAD BAD company. Use anyone but dollar. Check the fine print really well and do not believe what they say at the counter, they have no clue what they are talking about.
National Car Rental
On October 30th, 2009 I rented a compact vehicle from National and Returned it Tuesday the 3rd of November. On my way to the San Diego, CA drop off location I got lost and was in a hurry to catch my flight to new york.
Upon dropping off the car I forgot to grab my Garmin NUVI navigational system because I was in such a hurry. I realized I didn't have it with me upon boarding the flight to new york. I immediately called their customer service and told a man about my situation and he told me he would call me back within 48 hours. Two days passed and nothing was reported back to me. ...

National Car Rental
I booked a Full size car and had a double upgrade coupon so was basically planning to get a Minivan but after calling the rental location was informed that there are no minivan's to rent. So far so good. The customer service asked me to goto the nearest airport location and pickup the van ( she politely mentioned they will add additional airport tax ). Red Roof Inn Miami Airport - Miami, Florida
What a pleasure it has been to receive our free night certificate without having to request it. It was just waiting for us along with the other mail. We did not call, email, write or phone for it. That was unusual. We wondered where to use it. We have been to the two other hotels in the area that belong to this chain and were postponing a visit to either for personal reasons. Visit all the World apartments - Barcelona, Spain
My girlfriends and I wanted to have a European vacation and see sites and experience the culture and food, but we also wanted to be able to have our relax, hang out time. So, we decided to rent an apartment so we could cook and drink wine and have some nights after a busy day of siteseeing like we were at one of our own apartments. Princess Cruises - Star Princess Baltic/Russia
The Star Princess is a lovely ship. The cabins are beautifully appointed and comfortable, the on-board amenities are extensive, the entertainment is delightful, and the food (served around the clock in a variety of restaurants) is delicious and plentiful. It makes for a luxurious vacation.
That said, I'm not normally a cruise ship traveler. I prefer to create and follow my own itinerary and have the freedom to change my plans if I want, but I thought it was a great way to see the Baltic. Bluegreen - Vacation Club
My mother and I purchased Bluegreen this past year in Aruba after renting from a Bluegreen owner. It was a fabulous vacation, and after 2 months we added more points to get to Gold status. This allows both of us to split the costs and trade off on who uses the points if one of us wants to take a bigger (ie. more expensive points vacation) or longer vacation one year. In less than a year, we've also separately been to Williamsburg, Suites at Hershey, Shennandoah Crossing and Club 36. Carnival Cruise Lines - Inspiration cozumel, grand caymen and jamaica
I recently took a cruise on the Carnival Inspiration and was blown away by the level of service this ship offered. This was my first budget cruise and was a little skeptical at first, but after checking out the room, food, excursions and shipboard entertainment I was wowed. The servers were magnificent, food was as good as any other luxury ship I had experienced. The room was great. The size was perfect, beds very comfortable wiht plenty of closet space and drawers for our clothing. Essentravel.com - Denver
Hello....I recently booked a package from San Diego to Denver on Essentravel.com. A good engine, well laid out with plenty of descriptions. I did have a few questions about shuttle service to the staybridge airport hotel and they were able to confirm shuttle service to and from the airport. A big plus.
The hotel was ok, a bit noisy but it is an airport hotel and I needed one close by. Breakfast was satisfactory, I enjoyed it for the most part. Peace.
Disney's Fort Wilderness campground - Orlando, FL
This is one of our favorite places to visit and we live in Orlando. The best part about staying at the campgrounds is that you can stay right at Ft. Wilderness and not have to leave. We stayed in one of the cabins on off season and brought our own food. The cabins sleep 6 people via bunk bed, queen bed and then a pull out sofa. There is a full kitchen, refrigerator, deck and grill. You drive your car right up to the cabin.
If you have little ones, I highly recommend because you can have the children sleep in the room (close the door) while you can go into the living room area and watch...
