why can't movies be suitable for kids?

Transformers —
I watched this movie to see if it was something I would let my son watch. It wasn't. I think he would have really enjoyed the special effects and the transformers, but there is too much adult content. Why can't film makers simply make a film without the flithy language and stupid sexual content? Mature adults don't want to see or hear the junk either. I wish they didn't ruin so many movies.
Transformers is not recommended by swiftmom
