Most HelpfulTransformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen was great entertainment. Lacking a complicated plot or storyline is key in this movie. Everyone can understand it, everyone can relate and everyone favors the little guy. The end kind of reminded me of watching a Pokemon movie which believe it or not I'm a great...

Most HelpfulI have young children, but I also have older children too (ages 14 and 21). The release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen caused untold begging and pleading so much so that I actually attempted the first showing available at Midnight opening day, with my teenage daughter. Of course, it was sold...
read full review »Before I get into my review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, let me explain something. I am a hardcore Transformers fan. My friends and I marathoned the first two seasons and the animated movie before I moved out here to Texas, I still buy the toys both old and new, and I will be indoctrinating my son as soon as he is old enough in the classic cartoons. That said Michael Bay's latest is a gloriously beautiful mess of sound and fury, with some things to like, some things to love, some things to absolutely hate and other things to question if they were absolutely necessary.
Before I get...

Bottom-Line: Don't expect great cinema and you won't be disappointed.
The first Transformers movie released in 2007, grossed some 708 million dollar worldwide (319 domestically, 389 overseas) according to boxofficemojo.com. Not a bad take for movie that lacked a coherent plot-line, but sort of made up for it by dishing out the action in loving spoonfuls. With that kind of gross a sequel was a foregone conclusion and so Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was born once again directed by explosion junkie Michael Bay (The Rock, Armageddon, The Island).
The Story-line (I'm being kind)
The...
read full review »I couldn't wait to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen from the day I heard it would be playing at the IMAX. All movies that I have seen at the IMAX have been awesome. Dark Knight is a great example of that! So as soon as we had a chance, we went and paid the 11$ or so price to see it at the IMAX. The short story is - it was good, but not as good as the first. I mean it was ALMOST as good as the first, but the first had the originality of a new, fresh story to build on whereas this one was not as original.
The story of Transformers 2 follows the first movie, but I don't remember...
read full review »Why of WHY do critics try to turn everything into something it is not. I love a good action film and Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen is a good, fun action film. But this movie was slammed by the critics even after it became the highest grossing film of the summer. They missed one crucial point about this movie. This is a movie about a TOY! How can anyone expect it to be more that it was. They slammed the actors but they were just what the script called for. They needed a female lead that is HOT. Megan Fox on a motor cycle meets this requirement. They need a male lead who keeps being put in...

When I was a little children I used to watch the cartoon Transformers. It was one of my favorite. I used to love Optimus Prime, he was my favorite character. So imagine my suprise and excitement when I learned that they were going to make a movie out of the Transformers. I could not wait to see it.
I never did get to see the movie in the theater though. I bought it though when it come out on DVD right away. I was a little dispointed that I didn't get to see that movie in the theater.
So when I heard that there was going to be another Transformers movie Revenge of the Fallen I wasn't...
read full review »I loved Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Me, my husband and children couldn't wait to see Revenge of the Fallen. We all loved the first one so much. The first one was a little racy but not too bad. But oh my gosh, the Revenge of the Fallen was SO not for kids!! We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC the opening weekend so we took my twelve year old daughter and eight year old son to the theater at the mall to see it. (going to the movies is not something I usually do while on vacation at the beach) Anyway, my eight year old son had to keep his...
read full review »Transformers was better than the original!! The story line was well articulated and the characters were 100% believable including the Transformers themselves! The Transfomers had human characteristics making them enjoyable and the humor they possesed made then lovable! The story line good vs bad was well done. It wasn't just a super hero dominating the bad evil doer but the relationship between hero and those in trouble was very poignent. The movie combined special effects and human relations very believably. I would highly recommend this movie for all families with children over the...
read full review »So I am a huge Transformers fan and thought the first one was fantastic! So it was a big surprise when the 2nd movie started and from beginning to end all it was full of was sex and vulgarity! Now I remember watching this great cartoon when I was a kid, granted sometimes I didn't understand the story line my parents never had to worry about any harmful coming out of it.
So maybe the writers of the new transformers felt the need to be over vulgar because of megan fox and all the perverted men who want to call her names. All I know is that I was shocked when a small toy pooped up and called her...

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was an incredibly disappointing movie. As someone who absolutely loved the first Transformers flick by Michael Bay, I thought this movie could have been so much better. Sure, there were lots of explosions and fancy CGI effects, and lots of robot on robot violence (which is cool, don't get me wrong), but the story made absolutely no sense. None. Whatsoever.
The holes in the plot are big enough to drive Optimus Prime through. For some reason, the Transformers have been on Earth since pre-historic times. Also, despite the fact that the climatic battle...
read full review »Where do I start with this movie, how about the beginning where they started.Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. The action sequence in the beginning was awesome, as the Autobots are hunting hiding Disepticons. Gets the movie going in the right direction. However, the moment they introduce Megan Fox into the movie, it begins to go over the top. I would like to remind the readers, this is a movie based on a kids toy. It should have been targeted to the kids, with some action excitement for the adults. This trend in Hollywood is going over the top. When you have a young lady wearing "daisy duke"...
read full review »I loved Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!! This movie made me laugh, made me cry and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. It was totally entertaining and that is what I go for in a movie. The characters and plot are of course totally unlikely to be real but that is what I want in a movie. I want to be entertained, not think about real life. I routed for the robots and the main characters and booed the bad robots. I cried when Optimus "died" and the main character "died", I laughed at the dogs and the hilarious things said by the characters and I sat on the edge of my seat with...
read full review »I thought that this movie was entertaining, but not a great movie. The movie also ran a little long for my taste, but better too long than too short.
Most of the characters were known from the first movie, but if you hadn't seen it you would be lost. The new characters in this movie have little or no character development. How long have they been on earth? Were they trained in something specific to be qualified to be sent to earth? Do all of the autobots know one another?
I also do not understand why the Deceptacons are able to take the shape of flying electronics, while the Autobots...
