Trans-Siberian Orchestra Review Summary

Classical music, jazz, and rock and roll combine to form the Trans Siberian Orchestra, a musical act that is a hit with reviewers. Trans Siberian Orchestra is considered wonderful in concert and the music is very different because it is like a borderline heavy- metal version of classical music. Those who like Trans Siberian Orchestra and have seen them in concert say they offer “A Great Renewal of Christmas Music” and are just plain “Awesome”. Some reviewers admit that the Trans Siberian Orchestra is very loud in concert and that the laser show during a live concert is painful to the eyes. But overall, Trans Siberian Orchestra ranks as a very good Musician/Band that everyone should try to see in concert at least once.

My husband and I love the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas concerts.  After seeing them live we purchased the CD set.  In fact, my husband likes them so much he keeps them in his car and listens to them year round.

If you like the music but have not seen them live try to go to a live concert. ...

Mix a bit of rock with a touch of opera and you may be at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's website. I visit this website frequently during the Christmas season to enjoy a fresh, emotional, and unusual approach to the music of the season. Upon entering the site, listeners are greeted with a great intro...

I have to say that Trans Siberian Orchestra is the best concert I have ever been to. There is music, story telling, and magical effects in the show. Their music is like a hard rock version of classical music. It is hard to describe but once you have seen them, you will understand that they are unlike any one else out there performing.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a wonderful show !  The concert is about two and a half hours long.  With the sounds and lights, it is a great overload on the senses.  My family has made it a holiday tradition, and so should all families.

I attended this concert.  I'm a musician, also, and I thought the Orchestra was amazing.  Very gifted musicians.  Although, the light/laser show wasn't necessary to make the concert a success, it certainly added to the concert.  My son bought tickets for myself, my husband and all of our 5 grown children, and, although they all went just to humor me in the beginning, they found themselves really enjoying the concert.

This Trans-Siberian album title "The Christmas Attic" is awesome. The theme is about a young looking to "believe" again. This is not tradtional Christmas music, which is why I originally bought it. I am into "different" & "non-traditional". The holiday season starts so darn early every year, that by the time it actually gets here, I am more than tired of hearing the same old worn out tunes. There are a few traditional songs on the album, but they are presented in an entirely fresh way. There is a vibrancy about the music and the vocalists are outstanding. I would certainly pay to see this in concert... review »

We saw the Trans Siberian Orchestra in San Jose, and this was one of the best concerts we've seen.  The mix of a very good and wonderful Christmas program, and the follow up of a good, classic rock show with lights, pyrotechnics, and sound, made this a show for all ages.  They played for nearly 2 1/2 hours, non-stop, and I found it to be just the right sound level.  I've heard louder, but the quality of this show was very, very good.

Hearing the same Christmas songs over and over again gets old, very quickly. Even if it's only once a year. When I first heard the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I was amazed. Their combination of classical music mixed with jazz and rock elements, is a breathe of fresh air in the once a year music industry.

I love Trans-Siberian Orchestra and have all their albums so far but have never had the pleasure of attending a concert.  They've been in my area but, at the time, the job and finances wouldn't allow me to attend.  I look forward to any new projects that they maybe working on.  Keep up the good work, TSO!!

The Lost Christmas Eve by the Trans Siberian Orchestra is an incredible CD. Only second to seeing them live, the Trans Siberian Orchestra's familiar melodies are electrofied in this album. Some notable songs on this album include Christmas Canon Rock, Wizards in Winter, and Siberian Sleigh Ride. Between the guitar and keyboard, it is amazing to hear the holiday sounds electrified! You have never heard holiday music like this before! If you ever get the chance to hear this group live, they are even better! The lights and sounds are amazing live!

This group is magnificent, especially live. I would pay to see them play again, anytime. Great talents. Anyone that considers listening to this band or seeing one of their amazing shows should seriously, definitely do it. They sound great live and on CD. They put on a great show, and the music is suitable for anyone.

Lights! Wailing Guitars! Stunning Vocals! All this and a stirring Christmas story that makes you believe again. For me and my family it isn't Christmas until the TSO concert is attended. Nothing more need be said.

I went with my mother in law and our thirteen year old nephew who wanted to go to this concert for his birthday.  The concert was too long, too loud and had very bright lights that were blinding.  The concert was interesting and entertaining for the first 30 minutes but by the end of hour 2 we were all ready to go home and still had another hour to go!  The nephew was falling asleep even amidst the blaring music and explosions of flames!  It was just so boring...  The music was unoriginal and very repetitive.  The Christian spiritual aspect lacked depth and was shallow.  I was disappointed...

This the first time in my life I have walked out of a concert before it was half over. I knew the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert would be loud but I figured I could tolerate the volume if the music was good. Alas, the vocalists were fair at best and the "original" pieces lacked any musical quality. The piece sung by the down-and-out bum was ten minutes of the same three notes played over an over and over again. The high volume did nothing to improve the quality. The laser lights and the pyrotechnics were fun to watch but I'll watch them for free on the fourth of July from now on. Now I know...

My husband and I went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra this past weekend.  We are in our late 30s and appreciate a variety of music.  However, we had a bad experience with the concert.  We even left after 40 minutes.  They started 20 minutes late.  The music was incredibly loud (we even used ear plugs) and too much "heart-pounding" bass sound and electric guitar.  The lighting effects were too overpowering and half the time the lights were shining directly in our eyes...I had to look down at the floor sometimes to avoid being blinded!   I felt more like I was at a hard rock concert. ...
