Consumer Note: This beer is made in Mexico by the same brewing company that brews Tecate.
* Crystal clear burnished copper with creamy light tan head.
* Aroma is light sweet malt with dark caramel and lightly burnt toast notes.
* Malt foretaste is dryish -very little residual sweetness. Midtaste is clean dark malt flavor with caramel backdrop.
* Finish is clean and balanced, but rather abrupt. Palate dries quickly and considerably.
* Body is medium-thin. Lack of malty sweetness causes this beer to feel lighter on the palate.
Synhopsis:
This beer is pleasant enough to drink, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. This would make a great "training wheels" beer for people who are intimidated by dark beer or who think that dark beer is heavy and thick. This one breaks that mold.
