Great taste

Comments about Trader Joe's Sipping Chocolate:

I don't like mostly pre-packaged hot chocolate mix since most of them are way too sweet. I have been making my own hot chocolate mix before. Then one day I decided to pick up a box of Trader Joe's sipping chocolate for a try.

I was pleasantly surprised. It's not too sweet, not too creamy, so you can taste the chocolate flavor fairly easily.

There's hardly any cream in the mix, which is exactly the way I like it. I prefer my hot chocolate mix to have mostly cocoa powder and just enough sugar so it is not bitter, and be totally free of anything else. This way, I can fully savor the chocolate taste. Trader Joe definitely made this sipping chocolate the way I like.

I also like the container the product came with. I have saved the container for future use after the content has been consumed. I use it to store tea, and my own hot cocoa mix from time to time. It is great for storing tea in any season.

The holidays are here!!

Comments about Trader Joe's Sipping Chocolate:

My family loves hot chocolate! We only drink hot chocolate with months that have an R in it, so that's eight months of the year. This Trader Joe's sipping chocolate is absolutely heavenly. I wouldn't exactly call it hot chocolate, it's far better than hot chocolate, but it's the closest thing to compare it to. Sipping chocolate, this decadent, is in a category all of its own. I actually stock up on containers when it is in season so that we have it for months to come. I'll even put it in Christmas stockings and people are excited to receive it. My kids insist we make a cup for Santa. It does take a little extra prep time then say dissolvable hot chocolate and water but it is so worth it. I try to avoid using cows milk when possible and this dissolves and is just as creamy in other milks like almond milk.

Sometimes, in the mornings I will make this and add either fresh brewed coffee or instant coffee and it's unbelievably delicious and definitely wakes me up in the morning!
