We don't drink alcohol, so, when it comes to using recipes that require it, like Vodka sauce, it seems silly for us to buy a big bottle of vodka for a batch of sauce. It makes more sense for us to try ready made products. We spotted Trader Joe's Organic Vodka Sauce and tried it. I'm glad we did! Delicious!!!

Super easy - just open the jar, heat and pour on your favorite pasta. The aroma was mouth watering! We had it on penne, ziti, and bowties. Also works great in recipes.

The label is appealing with a vintage look giving the impression the taste will be delicious old world style.

The ingredients are organic which I also love about it: tomatoes, tomato puree, sweet whey powder, olive oil, onions, parmesan cheese, salt, garlic, lemon juice,vodka, basil and oregano. (Yes even vodka can be organic.)

It made my kitchen smell like an Italian restaurant.

The flavor was smooth and rich and robust. Thick enough to cling to the pasta in just the right way. It tasted like sauces from fine Italian restaurants.

This is a definite delicious addition to our pantry.

No, not yet. I need to write it down and make a note to stop by Trader Joe's. The store closest to me isn't very close so I can't just run out and make a quick stop. I'll let you know when I try it. :)

My son's college is close to Trader Joe's, so I get to go now. I have not tried this. I do like the store a lot though. I always have to get some of the Lacey cookies. I can manage to find the unhealthy treat at the healthy store, but I also pick up fresh fruits there too.

This sounds so good!! I really wish Trader Joe's would open a store in Hawaii.

I love Vodka sauce, but I love Trader Joe's even more. That is one store from the States that I truly miss!! When we were home for two weeks last month we did almost all of our grocery shopping there.

Haven't seen a Trader Joes in the area, but this does indeed sound like some good sauce!

We don't have a Trader Joe's close, but I got to go to one when my kid went to visit his college. I'll have to put this on my list to get when we go back.

Great review! I'm not into alcoholic sauces but from what you described, I can't wait to go out and buy this sauce. I wouldn't mind my house smelling like The Olive Garden either (lol).
