A great deal for a good product!

I was looking for a less expensive product with ingredients that were organic and natural. This one worked. I have used this product many times in the past and it works well. I have normal to oily hair and it seems to do the trick. The only thing that I don't like is that sometimes my hair has more static after it's dry than when I use other products, but it is still good. The smell is pretty good. The shampoo isn't full of chemicals, dyes and all that stuff so I feel better putting it onto my hair. It goes on and rinses off well and my hair feels good after it is dried. I would recommend this product, especially for the price. You can get a bottle for around 3 bucks. A lot better than some of the other organic/natural shampoos out there. Effectiveness It works well. It goes on, lathers well and rinses off good. It cleans your hair well and leaves your hair feeling good. Scent The smell is good. It isn't very scented, but it has a nice light smell.

Natural Cruelty-Free Secret to Great Hair

This is one of my favorite shampoos and it comes from my favorite store! I love that they don't test on animals, a very important qualification for me. The price is fantastic as well. It has the perfect smell to it and leaves my hair looking amazing. It's also sulfate-free and organic. Sometimes it does leave my hair a little drier than I'd like but with conditioner and the occasional Enjoy (also cruelty-free) hair mask, my hair loves Trader Joe's shampoo!

Trader Joe's Nourish SPA is AMAZING

I have been searching for an all natural shampoo that is affordable. Or just a shampoo that was sulfate free and would not strip our hair badly and we found it in this shampoo. My son has the most amazing curls and if not moisturized properly things can go array. We don't shampoo often because of the harsh stripping affect that it has on his hair and we have found that when it is necessary that this is our go to product. I shampoo a bit more often than he does becuase my hair gets more build up and still its not harsh enough to affect it after the more frequent washing. We were recommended this by a friend and have fallen in love with it. We do not even live near a Trader Joe's and my dear husband made a special trip just so we could stock up! I even have a friend convinced to send this stuff to us!! If you live near one you get an even better deal! It is so hard to find natural products such as these at such amazing prices!

Trader Joe's Nourish Spa is my first choice

Out of all of the trader joes shampoos and conditioners, their nourish spa line is my favorite.  I love both the shampoo and conditioner.  I love that it is an all natural product, no testing on animals, no animal products used, and does not contain any harmful Laurel/Laureth Sulfates.  And for the price, it is truly a great find. I have very thick coarse hair, and this shampoo leaves my hair beautiful and manageable.  Especially paired with its conditioner.  It is not drying at all, and in fact very moisturizing.  After using the shampoo and conditioner, I then apply the Trader Joe's jojoba oil to my hair for a very nice silky effect.  I love the combination of these three products together.  I can then blowdry my hair and straighten, and the oil leaves a nice protective layer to the heat.  This product is a lot better than anything you can buy at Aveda, for a fraction of the cost.  I recommend this to all my friends and family.

Nourish Spa is one of the best shampoos out there!

Find a shampoo that works well for me and my hair type has always been difficult. My hair is prone to dryness, and traditional SLS-laden shampoos just aggravate the problem. Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Shampoo has been an awesome find for me. The ingredients are all-natural and many of them are organic. There is no sodium laurel/laureth sulfate in this shampoo, so it is non-drying and surprisingly, it is even a bit moisturizing itself. The only potential negative of this shampoo is that it should be used in conjunction with a silicone-free conditioner. If it is not, it is easy for build up to occur because your hair needs to be shampooed with an SLS-containing shampoo to be rid of the silicones. As long as you use a 'cone-free conditioner, there will be no problems. You get a good amount of shampoo for the money. The smell is light and great (it smells earthy) and the shampoo gives your hair incredible shine.

Great shampoo for cheap.

I mostly used Trader Joe's Essential Shampoo before they discontinued it.  They replaced it with the Nourish Spa Balanced and Moisturizing Shampoo.  It is made with mostly organic botanicals and doesn't have any laurel/laureth sulfates in it.  One of its claims was that it infuses hair with shine.  I did not find that to be the case, but it did clean well.   I have long, thin, flat hair and tend to shampoo once every 4-6 days using shampoo only.  This shampoo cleaned my hair well enough to wait 3 or 4 days before the next shampoo was necessary.  It did a surprisingly good job of lathering (considering the lack of SLS's) and washed out well without leaving buildup.  I did not find it necessary to use conditioner afterwards since it did not strip my hair to a point of damage. It smelled decent and gender neutral, and I did not notice a lingering scent once I was out of the shower.   There are some parabens at the end of the ingredients list if that bothers you.
