I used a variety of dog kibble from the pet stores and after a month or so, my dogs began to vomit every-time the ate. I went to the vet and he suggested trying a sensitive stomach formula that could only be purchased at a vet's office at an outrageous prices.
I did some research and found Trader Joe's offered a preservative free line of dog kibble. I have mini-doxies, so I always choose the low fat (Trader Joe's on the west coast), or the lean (Trader Joe's on the east coast). When I slowly introduced the new kibble, they loved it and it didn't bother their sensitive stomachs! Praise Trader Joe's for not only offering healthy choices to humans, but to our four legged friends as well! And the price is unbelievable, $4.99, for an 8lbs. bag. Not only do they enjoy it, both doxies have become lean, mean wiener dog machines!
Just to give you an idea what kind of pet owner I am, not looking for the best "bargain" food, they are like my children to me. One of them had to have back surgery at an early age, and I found the best surgeon to repair him- $6000. So I am not a cheapskate, this kibble is amazing!
