Trader Joe's is perfect for those that need preservative free!

On preservative free diet

I recently found out that I have a preservative allergy and can not eat allergies in food. This has really changed the way I eat and shop.

When I first found out, I ate only fresh foods-- fruits and vegetables. I quickly got bored. I realized that was not really realistic. So, I ventured over to Whole Foods and spent about $400 on groceries trying to find preservative free/fresh foods. EEEkkk. Too expensive.

Then, I went over to Trader Joe's and I was so surprised to see how many foods were labeled preservative free and how cheap they were. My grocery bill was about 1/2 of what Whole Foods was.

Trader Joe's is an amazing grocery store for those with food allergies- specifically those that require a preservative free diet. I can get chips, prepared foods, frozen foods, pastas, pasta sauces, breads/grains and more all within my budget and without sacrificing taste.

I was so surprised how much food I was eating had preservatives. Now, I feel like I have a good option, diverse option and all within my budget.

My whole family eats preservative free now and it has not impacted my family in the least. Thanks Trader Joe's for helping me manage this new complex and expensive lifestyle. You've been a life saver.

Trader Joe's is a staple for us. However, we love eating at the "restaurant" provided by Whole Foods. Peaceful atmosphere, choose your own quantity, prices similar to other sit down restaurants, food delicious (we love Indian).

Thank you for your review on Trader Joe's. We shop at Whole Foods but I have recently heard about Trader Joe's and have been thinking about trying them. Now I will.

I frickin' LOVE Trader Joe. I MISS Trader Joe.

I used to live in a town (Ann Arbor) that had Whole Foods & Trader Joe. While I loved going into Whole Foods and looking around and occasionally splurging on different things (they had kick-a** cinnamon-pecan scones), I could not justify dropping that much cash on groceries. While they do have a great bakery & deli, I just can't go in there and do regular shopping.

So then I decided to check out Trader Joes. AWESOME. Not only does Trader Joe fufill my need to explore different foods, beverages and beauty products - I can AFFORD to shop there. Everything is reasonably priced. On top of that, everyone that works there seems genuinely happy to be there and they are very helpful.

I miss TJ's.....there are none on the west side of Michigan....whenever I am planning travel I always check to see if we are going to be going by a TJs so that I can stop and shop!
