Another great book bought from the Scholastic book flyer is "Tracy's Mess" by Ellise Petersen. When I bought this book, I was intrigued by the front cover. It is so vibrant with color and mess. I just knew my 5yr old would love reading about someone else's mess, besides her own.

In Tracy's Mess you meet a curly, red haired little girl named Tracy. She is so pretty, and well kept you would not believe that anything in her life could be a mess. Then you get a look at her room. Her room is filled with anything and everything that should and shouldn't be there. You might find a kitten, a jelly sandwich, dirt, toys, and much, much more. Just as you get a great picture of what Tracy's room really looks like, Tracy's mom tells her to Clean It Up.

In Tracy's imaginative mind, she finds the perfect place for all of her stuff; under her bed. After finding out that this is not the best place for her things to be, she attempts to clean it again. She now has a wonderfully clean room and a very full closet!

I think I enjoyed reading this story as much as my daughter. I also have found that this story is very easy to read for beginners. The words are written in a block type font that is very dark and easy to read. There isn't more than a small paragraph on each page and it reads very quickly. It is the perfect before bedtime story for all ages.
