Tracfone —

I used to think "I don't want a cell phone, I don't need to be in constant contact with everyone I know."  Then I started thinking "What if I got lost while driving or popped a tire or plowed into a snowbank?"  So, I broke down and spent fifteen bucks on something called a tracfone.  Now I'm really starting to like it.  I can call my Mom to check up on her and see how she's doing while I'm at work, well on break.  I feel good about my little pink Tracfone!

I like that I don't need a plan or monthly bill to use this phone.  So far I have not spent much money on calling cards because I don't use it much.  I haven't had any problems with reception yet.  It's very easy to use and if I have any questions I can ask anyone that has a cell phone and they can answer my questions.  I would recommend this phone to anyone that wants an emergency cell phone or only makes occasional calls.

Thumbs UP!

Sounds great! Yes, this does help, thanks. Reception isn't always the best in the mountainous region I live in, but it definitely is worth trying the Tracfone with its reasonable cost.

Oh wow, I'm glad I could help. I have had the phone for a few months now and have not yet spent $100. The phone cards are made of minutes and also time, when you buy a card it will say on it how many minutes you get and a length of time. Your time and minutes don't go away when you add a card, you just add on to what you have left. My phone came with 10 minutes and I think a month. The phone it's self only cost $15.00 and I bought one card with 200 minutes and three months for $40.00. I hope this helps.

That's good news! I only have a month left on my current 2 year contract. I have been seriously thinking about going with the Tracfone since I pay about $100 a month and I don't use the phone enough to justify that cost. Switching sounds even better to me now thanks to your review!

This is the only cell phone I've ever owned, so I don't have a lot to compare it to but I am really enjoying it.

Sounds better than the average cell phone with its monthly service fee.
