This phone is great for those who use cellphone infrequently

a busy person, expecting good, fair service, usually just making or receiving a call, Every day computer user, appreciative of good service, not rich

I purchased the Tracphone prepaid plan and cellphone together as a package. I am self employed and needed to have the cellphone to be available to clients and peers, even when I was out of the office. I also wanted the phone to carry with me in case of an emergency. I was wary of signing on for an extended service contract with Verizon, Sprint or another provider. Had heard horror stories of people getting huge monthly bills. The prepaid plan which provided me with a year of service and 600 minutes gave me the opportunity to try the phone out and see if it met my needs. One year later, I have signed on for another year of service. I was pleased to find that along with the one year extension, I also received 1,000 minutes. I have found the cellphone handy when I leave the office to run errands and can forward my landline calls to the cellphone. Also, service has been great across the United States and there have only been a few spots where I could not get service. I found that by moving around a little, I was able to get service in all states I have travelled to. Battery life is much better than I anticipated. I only have to charge it once every week or two. I have only used the camera on this phone twice. It does not provide exceptionally clear pictures, but they were good enough for the intended use. For someone who just needs a cellphone for emergencies or to make and receive calls while temporarily away from your landline, this is the phone and the service plan for you. I love that I do not have monthly bills and this was one expenditure that I cannot complain about.
