It seems every time I try to put time on my device I have problems and have to call them. This time they renewed my number, the same number I have had over 20 years, then told me that it was sold back to the original company. The first time I got a cell phone I got it through AT & T but they said they couldn't tell me who it was. I buy a year plan at a time and renew it every January but they are telling me it has been over 60 days since it has been active. I asked when the last time I bought time was and they said as part of their NEW policy they couldn't tell me when it was.....interesting. They told me I could look it up on their app.....HOW AM I SUUPOSED TO DO THAT WHEN YOU TOOK MY NUMBER!! I was also told that the number has been given away so I called it, definitely not given to anyone and has the message about being disconnected through Verizon. I contacted Verizon and they couldn't tell me anything about the number as they didn't have it after having to tell him the the number 6 times and wanted to know when I was with Verizon, again I never was. Most horrible company I have ever dealt with and I will not do business with them again and if anyone asked me if i recommended them it would be a NO NO NO!!

I have been with TracFone for 12 years. I buy my own phone, and use a Sim card, because their phones are low on memory and too outdated. The service is better than top cell phone companies! I have better coverage. The only downside is that customer service isn't always helpful, and don't speak good English. I love how affordable it is.

I switched over to Straighttalk/Tracfone about a year ago, from AT&T. We also tried Verizon for a few years before AT&T. Neither of those huge companies even compare to Tracfone/Straighttalk in my opinion. I am not sure how they do it, but I guess you use ATT and Verizon towers, so my reception is so much better with Tracfone. I live in a super rural area, so that is saying a lot! The customer service is available via chat, phone, or email which is really convenient-I usually chat if I have an issue. The only issue I've had was switching phones, because I simply didn't know what their process was! They helped me asap and it took just a few minutes to get my new phone up and running. Tracfone/Straighttalk also lets you lease phones (like the major cell companies) and I paid a fraction of the price that I would from ATT. I highly recommend Straighttalk/Tracfone.

I'm a long time customer of Tracfone, for about the past 20 years now. I have to say that over the years, it has improved so much. I dont have as many dropped calls as I used to, and the coverage area seems better than it used to be where I live. And I just got a new phone last fall to replace my old one, and the activation process was so much easier than it used to be! I love the "Bring Your Own Phone". I was able to use an unlocked smartphone with Tracfone that's much better than the phones tracfone themseles offer, so that made me happy. I know my dad just switched his iphone 3 from another carrier over to tracfone. Only reason I gave 4 stars is that customer service is still "iffy" with tracfone. I had to call CS last year about something and was on the phone for 45 minutes with no resolution. But that was just one incident. I have called other times and had good luck. Overall, I'm very happy with Tracfone and have recommended it to others and will keep doing so.

I purchase tracfone's free Samsung Galaxy Stardust Android and received this phone in the mail and the phone was not secure in the box. Then the phone look like it was used but I ignored it. The screen protectors that was sent in the box are not the right size for the phone. Then when I tried to charge the phone because it was not fully charged the charger and cable would not work. I contacted tracfone about receiving a new charger and cable for the phone because I can't charge it. They just sent me a charger in the mail but did not send a cable with it. I contacted tracfone again to say I received the charger but didn't received the cable with it. There response was a charger cannot be sent without the cable. I told them only the charger was sent in the mail but they still refuse to believe me and said you cannot receive another one. Now the only way I can charge this phone is buy one myself which is sad. The design, the features and battery life for this phone are not good. I would not recommend this phone or their service to anyone because this is the worst experience I've had from a phone company.

I have been using tracfone for over 4 years, we love it!! There is no contract, you can cancel at at time with no fee!! And you can bring your own phone, we did this, and we LOVE it!! Just add minutes as needed, just watch your end date and make sure you refill before then. With this all your minutes roll over as long as you have service dates left. We have had great coverage all over our area and different area's we travel! Great prices too, for someone on a budget who does not want a contract, this plan is for you!!!

I have had tracfones.. The first triple minute touch screen lg or so. The phone kept shutting off calls. Did NOT work. I had other tracfones and used Chat to transfer numbers, thank GOD! Mom said to stop wasting your time with this Sh&&^TR company. I got bad reception and lousy moments. The 1-800 number was screwed up as well. Speak English, people! I have an 'fake' android phone with tiny screen tracfone. Can't hardly press the buttons and hear with it. I use it to mess around with now. My new provider is consumercellular, build-a-phone/plan. This is the truth of tracfone. Safelink as well. I hated using a card and type the air time on the prepaid menu. I needed an app called Tracfoneapp I can't think of it. I live near a cell phone tower and got a bar or two. Please don't waste your time AND money with this awful company!

The service is great and picks up in most places. The down side is the price of the minutes is very high. This is not a phone for everyday use if you use your cell phone all the time. Its a great emergency phone to keep on had. The minutes roll over which is a plus. I keep mine in the car in case I forget my cell phone or if I dont have service on my regular phone.
