I am having trouble finding reviews for the Little Tikes Giddy up and Go Pony. I am thinking about it for my little girl for Christmas and I am trying to compare it to Smores Fur Real Pony. There are lots of wonderful things said about Smores but the Giddy up and go is about $100 cheaper. Any suggestions or ideas?

Unfortunately, toys is not a very populated section yet and it appears no one has reviewed that yet.  This must be pretty new as I'm not really finding much else on the web about it either.  If you look on YouTube you can find some videos of them that shows you what they are all about.  The Giddy Up Pony looks pretty cool actually.  This one is a ride on where the Smores is only an interactive toy.  Looks like it depends on which way she would want to play with it.

I just bought this toy today from Target, it was on sale for $149.99 which ended two days ago but the sale tag was still out and so they honored the sale price, regularly it's $200. From what I have read and seen on You Tube, Smores has realistic movements and sounds and is more interactive when you touch it but it cannot move, Giddy-Up and Go has sound but doesn't move it's head like Smores but the kids can ride on it indoors and out and when I weigh these two factors including the cost, Giddy-Up and Go is a clear choice.  My daughter wanted Smores but I showed her both on You Tube and she quickly decided on Giddy-Up and Go, plus I can see how she would get excited about getting Smores but it will quickly fade away like most toys.  With Giddy-Up and Go, she and her sister and cousins can ride it around the house and have more fun with it in months and years to come and when it comes time to give it up, there are alot of kids that would to love to get a free ride on toy.

I got one for my 2 year old for christmas and they had one out in the store so i put her one it and it was really cool, iwanted to get on it. the only bad thing is that it doesn't go backwords. she had a blast on it and had a fit when i made her get off. they have been really hard to find and people online are price gauging so you can do what i did. i called 1-800-walmart and complained to customer service about the local stores not telling me when they would get them in. they took my name and number and said they would call when they knew they were comming in. no joke 20 min later i got a call from my local walmart and they said they didn't have any but the store an hour away had 6.  of course i rushed down there and got one of the last three. be persistent on the phone with walmart headquarters and they should help you. the smores pony i think is a total waist of money. all it does is stand there and make noise with a little head movement. if your going to spend the money try and get the giddy up pony. i got it that day at walmart for 179.00. your daughter will love it so much better than the smores pony. even if you can't get it in time for x-mas i would still get the giddy up pony. she love it whether it is there for x-mas or not. good luck finding one, merry christmas!

I bought this pony for my 4 1/2 year old daughter this year for Christmas.  It seems very dangerous as it doesn't turn well and is so heavy that when she tries to tuurn this pony it falls over.  This toy is very heavy and if it falls on a child may really hurt them!!  She really likes it but can't really ride it in a small area or an area that a turn is needed.  The pony does not go backward so you must get of and turn it.  It is really cute and the sound is good.  I wouldn't reccommend this toy due to safety issues.

I bought this for my 3 yr. old daughter for Christmas, she loved it but unfortunately you need alot of space to ride since it only goes forward. I brought her outside like you see on the commercial and on the first slightly uneven surface the pony stopped and fell forward along with my daughter who hit the cement face first. She has a very nasty bruise and cut on her face. I am thankful she was not seriously injured and feel it is a dangerous toy for a young child I would not recommend it. Anyone who has bought this be extremely careful as I am sure it could cause serious if not fatal injuries.
