Fisher Price Laugh and Learn House
The Laugh and Learn House is one of the best toys we ever purchased for our kids. We first bought it for our oldest son on his first birthday. He was not walking yet but loved sitting and playing with the toys/features on the house and also used the house to pull himself up. My youngest has loved playing with this toy ever since he could crawl and now at 13 months it is one of his main go to toys. I like that even though the house portion of the toy does rock back and forth when pushed or pulled, it would be very difficult to tip over due to the way the base is made. There are many different...
review »Wubbanub Infant Baby Plush Pacifier Pink Pony Horse
These Wubbanub plush toys are toys with Soothie brand pacifiers attached to them. When I saw these I just had to have one. The Soothie pacifier is the only pacifier that my daughter will take and I absolutley love ponies so I chose to get her the pink pony wubbanub. I was so excited when I found a good deal on them on ebay and got her one. I just received it a few days ago and I would have to say that I was happy with it, but also a little disappointed also. It was as cute as the picture, so I have no problem with that. But I did expect it to be at least a tad bit bigger than what it was. I would...
review »Snow in Seconds Artificial Snow Maker
Snow in Seconds is great for the whole family! Makes great gifts for all ages....lots and lot of fun and easy, safe, as well as a quick clean up.
Love it!
One Step Ahead My First Laptop
This toy is fantastic! The "My First Laptop" is available, so far as I know, only in the One Step Ahead catalogue. I have found no other brand name or anything.
I can't insert a link to the catalogue, but you can find this at onestepahead.com, if you search for "My First Laptop". (I'm not promoting the retailer over any other -- I really think this is the only place for this particular toy, as I've been looking for several days.)
The laptop has a lot of different activities, which generate enough different sounds that it honestly doesn't bother me if my son wants to play with it all day on...
review »Hasbro Chutes and Ladders
Chutes and ladders is a classic game that the kids always love. it takes some practice following the numbers.
Milton Bradley Dora the Explorer Chutes and Ladders
Candy land is fun but better when its Dora. A dora lover can't go wrong with this fun and easy game.
KidKraft KidKraft Farmhouse Table
We recently bought this table for our 2 year old. It is decent, sturdy, but it comes in pieces to assemble. It is tough to assemble with the Allen wrench provided. It is just pine wood, nothing special, but it does have 4 chairs, which is why we bought it.
LeapFrog Alphabet Catapiller
My daughter received the Leapfrog Alphabet Catapiller for Christmas. The "feet" of the catapiller are the letters of the alphabet and different colors. She can change the settings to learn letter names, letter sounds, colors, or even so each letter will play a different music melody. She now can even put the sounds from the different letters together by pressing them in a sequence to have it make a word. Her dad and I have even enjoyed "playing" with it and trying to get it to say different words. Whoever made this is genious because it will NOT say a bad word. It just stays silent. ...
review »Krinkles Truck Blocks & 4 People
Krinkles Truck Blocks & 4 People comes as a set of 40 interlocking blocks and 4 figures (man, woman, boy, girl) with a krinkle pad on the bottom. These are interesting blocks because they can be stuck together fairly easily and pulled apart to redesign over and over.
What I like about Krinkles truck blocks/people:
- Easy to use
- Colorful
- My kids loved having people to go with it
- Cute to have tire-type blocks
What I didn't like about Krinkles truck blocks/people:
- My kids like to put people in items and the people would stand on the vehicle but you couldn't have them to sit down
- They seem sturdy but...
LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set
The LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set is an awesome educational tool for parents. This is a fun way for toddler and preschoolers to learn what each letter in the alphabet looks like and sounds like. Also clean up is easy they all just stick back to the refridgerator. The ease of use makes it perfect for even young toddlers the letter are big and easy to grasp and easily slide into the device. Then all the child has to do is push the letter and depending on the setting it sings a song or states how to say the letter. The song are very catchy my daughter learned them very quickly...
review »Hungry Hungry Hippos By Hasbro
My son had received $10 to purchase something from the store. His lack of understanding about money was expected since he is only 2 1/2. At first he pointed excitedly exclaiming, 'I want that!' at every toy $30+. I eventually tired of pointing to the cheaper toys and asking 'How about this one?' to his obvious disappointment, so we moved on to the game aisle. His face lit up when he saw Hungry Hungry Hippos by Hasbro. He had seen commercials for this game, and was very excited to see it on the shelf. The original price was $15, but I happened to have a coupon for $4 off, so I was okay with...
review »Milton Bradley Don't Break the Ice Game
Most every child likes to play games and many great memories are formed when families take time to play games with their children- even if the game is short and simple. One game that fits this definition is Don't Break the Ice, a simple, quick game from Milton Bradley.
Game Commentary:
Don't Break the Ice is a game consisting of multiple pieces that have to be assembled each time the game is played. There are a total of thirty- eight pieces: 32 small "cubes" of ice; one large cube that is equal in size to four of the smaller cubes; one red- colored person wearing skates; and two interlocking...
Hasbro Star Wars - The Princess Leia Collection: Princess Leia and Wicket
One of the best things about George Lucas as the creator of "modern mythology" is that when he set out to create the Star Wars and Indiana Jones series, he astutely avoided the "damsel in distress" archetype prevalent in action and fantasy films of the 1970s and 1980s.
Clearly, in Star Wars, he did not dispense with female-characters-in-peril altogether; Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia Organa does get captured by Lord Darth Vader's forces twice in the Classic Trilogy, but Lucas wisely envisioned her as a strong character who often takes charge of the situation. (In a clever twist, it's Leia who has...
review »Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Teddy's Shapes & Colors Book
I absolutely love this book! It was a great purchase! My daughter loves this book! She loves to read anyway, so I got her this book to have a more "interactive" reading experience, even if I wasn't sitting there with her. She loves the colors and shapes and animals and sounds from this book! She never seems to get tired of flipping the pages back and forth and back and forth! It's small enough that it's great to throw in a bag and take with us in the car, durable because sometimes she takes a fancy to throw it across the room or car, and I don't know that the batteries will EVER run out! I haven't...
