Toyota Solara - 2006 Review Summary

The 2006 Toyota Solara is a snazzy little sports car that anyone would love to have to zip around town in. The Solara is considered to be a “classy” little vehicle that owners are enjoying for the most part. The ’06 Toyota Solara handles well, gets decent gasoline mileage and is reliable. The V6 engine in the Solara will keep you up to speed and you will look great behind the wheel. The worst problem reported with the Toyota Solara 2006 is that it has some serious blind spots, causing a bit of a safety warning. You may want to test drive the 2008 Toyota Solara before committing to an older model to see if the blind spot has been corrected.

My mom’s Toyota (Camry) Solara SE 2-door coupe with less than 3,000 miles was ready after a fender bender. I drove it for the last half of my stay in Florida. It is an automatic, 2.4 liter, 4 cylinder, 157 horsepower car with front wheel drive.

One of the best standard feature is the power...

When I saw the 2006 Solara, it was the only car I had seen that would make me trade in my Mazda 6.  Loved it on the test drive although I wasn't a fan of the cloth interior.  Made the trade and began driving it every day.  Nice ride, but being a highway driver, during the summer months I prefer to... review »

My husband and I purchased this car in fall of 2005 (it's 2006 model) and I have had no compaints at all since we first got it.  It's been two and a half years now and the only thing I've done to it is oil changes and tire rotation.  Excellent smooth ride, lots of get up and go (even in the 4 cyl.) and I feel stylish when driving it.  I've had many compliments on the appearance and handling of it.  I think many people overlook this car thinking it's not practical, but I haul my infant child around in the back with no trouble at all.  The back seat leaves plenty of room for the carseat and... review »

The V-6 in this car jams up on-ramps and gives you the speed you need on the freeway to juggle the big rigs and congestion safely.  It's also extremely confortable and has all the bells and whistles of a luxury model - heated seats, auto temp control, antenae in the rear window, windows defrost really quick, air circulation is great both hot and cold, sun roof works really well, handles like a charm - very responsive and all the controls are at your fingertips - music, cruise control, etc.  The only drawback and it can be a big one to get used to are the blind spots  - you have to use your mirrors... review »

my husband and i had a jeep liberty and even though it was comfortable we just didnt like it. i think its because we like fancier cars and don enjoy paying the fancier price. we walked into a used car dealership and that where we founf our dream car.....there it was a black, 2 door, all leather interior Toyota solara. i had honestly never een heard of this car before. I was quite surprised to see how much we like this car.

it was so comfortable when we started driving it. it also had all the litle fancy faetures we wanted and had the expensive look and clean and neat. the trunk was also very spacious....

I bought my 2007 Solara convertible new, In 2 years not a single problem. Amazingly quiet and 2 adults can ride in the back seat! Well put together and engineered. The engine is so quiet I find myself checking the gauges at idle to make sure it is on. The only downside is the blindspot backing up.

i own  a 2006 solara which i purchased in 6/03/05 to this day i have 29,110 miles on it and the only thing that i had an issue with was the battery that had to be replaced like 2 months ago but toyota took care of that at no charge but then again i live in orlando fl heat/humidity so i kinda understand. my car still sounds like day one very quite cabin. ty toyota my solara is such a reliable car that even though its paid for i kinda get tempted to trade it in for a more luxury car but when i think about how reliable it is i say better be safe than sorry and i have the v6 which is better than... review »

This my second Toyota, and I love it. My very first car was a convertible, and I've wanted another one ever since. The kids are grown, so now I bought my "play" car; we have my husband's Avalon, for travel and other things. No one drives my car but me!!
