We have two small children and love our 2006 Sienna. We have the 8-passenger LE model, and one of us drives, while the other sits between the kids. We consistently get a fraction over 20 MPG, which is pretty good for a 4300 lb. vehicle, and far better than any comparable-sized SUV. The 5-speed auto keeps the rpms low when cruising on the freeway. My wife loves the high-up seating, and swears that she will never buy another 'car'. My only gripe is the lack of full-size spare well. The compact spare is under the van in a location that only fits a compact spare, so if you have a flat, you will need to put the bad tire inside the van somewhere. God forbid you have a van full of people and items taking up the entire area behind the third row--you will have to put the flat on the roof (if you can lift it), in someone's lap, or leave it on the side of the road. This problem is not specific to the Sienna. All current minivans have the same problem.
