It's pretty well known that the Camry is one of the more expensive cars in its class, but you get what you pay for. My dad has a '97 Camry that I drove frequently when I was learning to drive and have driven intermitantly since getting my own car(s). This Camry has out-lasted my mom's 1999 Acura, and my 2002 Chevy. My sister's 1998 Jeep is still going but has required some repairs. In 12 years we have had ZERO MAJOR REPAIRS on the Camry. And at nearly 200,000 miles it still drives much more smoothly than the (48,000 mile) 2000 Grand Am I'm driving now. This car will never stop impressing me. I have the Grand Am right now because my grandmother gave it to me for free. Whenever I have to get a car on my own it will be a Camry, no question about it.
