I love tortilla chips with salsa or melted cheese and decided to try the Fire Roasted Chipotle version of chip from Tostitos. I can't eat them plain out of the bag but if I use them to make nachos I can handle the spiciness of them. If you like chipotle and love the crunch of tortilla chips then these are worth trying. These have a little more crunch to them than regular tortilla chips but the downside is that if you try to dip them in a bean sauce or something thick there's a good chance that they are going to snap or break. Regular meted cheese or salsa isn't a problem for these but heavier dips will cause them to break. There are a couple of different flavors in the Artisan Recipes series from Tostitos; the Three Cheese version is my favorite but that can be hard to find. I have also tried the Grilled Red Pepper & Tomato Salsa which was a little too salty for me but everyone else loved them. If you are looking for something with a little bit of a kick to it when you are snacking, the Fire Roasted Chipotle version is the best one to go with in the series. I wouldn't consider these healthier than other tortilla chips because there are 8 grams of fat per serving but the sodium content is lower than most other tortilla chips.

These chips come in a few nice flavors, they are crunchy and go great with dips and salsas. I don't find these to be too spicy despite being chipotle flavor, so if you want them to be hotter you'll need a dip. The flavor isn't too strong but it's nice and light. I normally go for a cheaper plain chip because these aren't that much different.

I recently tried the new Tostitos Artisan Roasted Chipotle chips and loved them. The chips are great alone or with salsa and dip. The only negative thing I would say is the chips are somewhat expensive and the bag wasn't completely full. I felt that you should get more for the money. Overall, I really enjoyed the taste and can't wait to try the other flavor.

I was grocery shopping the other day for a get together at my house Friday night. I always purchase chips of some sort. I saw these Tostitos Artisian Chips and thought they sounded good. I got the fire roasted chipotle flavor. That night I was setting up all my snacks and grabbed one tostito to try it out. It was so delicious. I could not believe the flavor of these chips. You did not even need a dip to go with them. They are so unbelievably light, fresh and tasty. When my guests arrived and they began snacking, they commented on the chips and the unique flavor and asked me what kind they were. When I told them they were tostitos they were so surpirsed. When they here the brand tostitos, they think of the plain brand not flavored. Everyone was so excited about the chips. I am also thinking about crumbling them into little pieces and use as a coating when I bake chicken. That would be very tasty as well!
