I received this laptop as a gift 2 years ago. Since I had been using a desktop all along, I was hesitated to use it. I am not a computer pro and I am not good at reading instruction. I was like,"What am I going to do with this laptop?" So with my limited patience, I started reading the step to step instruction. Amazingly, the instruction was very easy to follow. All I did was to set up my password to protect my sign on and pressed the on/off switch and it started right away. I am totally impressed by the 15.4" screen, the clarity of the screen and how easy it is to just "turn on", put the wifi switch to "on" and "BAM", the laptop is getting the wifi and I am able to get on the internet. I have never have problems with the internet connection. The laptop detects the wifi right away and able to take me online promptly. This laptop also comes with a camera, great speakers and DVD player. I am able to go on the internet, do my instant messaging, play my music on the DVD, so on and so forth. The only drawback about this computer is the weight. I don't know exactly how much it weighs but I am a tiny person, this laptop is kind of heavy for me. If you are not going to move this laptop all over the places, this will be the perfect laptop for you. This is definitely not good for traveling since it is so heavy.

Not having a ton of disposable income, it's important to me that my computer just do it's job without any hassles and without any added expense.  I have had multiple issues with laptops in the past and I generally regard them as being less reliable than a regular desktop computer, but this Toshiba has been pretty reliable and I've experienced just a few minor issues. First the good parts: the speed is fast.  I've never felt like I'm waiting for too long for a program to load.  The computer is not loud -- the fan is fairly quiet and doesn't run non-stop.  The screen is gorgeous.  It's one of the reasons I went with Toshiba -- the screens looked sturdy and shiny (not like the way laptop screens used to be, kind of dull and filmy). My only complaint with the computer is that, occasionally, it will overheat and just shut down without any warning.  I have noticed, almost without exception, that this happens when I am watching a youtube video.  It's annoying, but not overly so.

This computer is new and is easy to use.The processor is quick. It was purchased for both travel and home use. It includes wireless internet and three separate USB ports which is great for us since we use flash drives for a lot of our computer programs we save. This computer has a larger screen than our last laptop which makes it mush easier to use. We are able to conect and check email even in the hotals on our travels for free. We can also connect to Bluetooth with this computer. We have had a lot of success with our past Toshiba computer so we are anticipating that this one will also work for several years for us. We had the Geek squad remove all unneccesary items from the computer before we brought it home which gives us quicker computing. This computer is used to also play movie DVD's and to put together Power point presentations for programs we have put together for non profit organizations we do volunteer work for. This computer is also able to connect to our Overhead projector we use for these presentations. It makes it quick and easy to both put together and do the presentations on. It is a great computer for us and our needs at a fair price.

Back when I was beginning college, I had the hardest trouble finding a computer. I looked everywhere for the perfect laptop( I was very picky). I found this laptop online and could not have picked a better computer. I can open so many programs at once without worrying about it crashing. Yes, it has only had one virus in the past year I have owned it, but in my opinion that is not bad. It was quite expensive when I bought it too, but the price was really worth it. The battery life on this computer is just enough so that I do not have to carry my charger everytime I go to class. It can last up to 2 and a half hours, which is about two classes worth. As soon as I need to turn it off or put it in sleep mode, it turns off quickly and efficiently. However, I do not like the hibernate setting. When I have many programs open (or only a few), and I put it in hibernate mode, the programs would freeze when I start the laptop up again. Overall, I still think this laptop is a great one to choose.
