After my cheap laptop died completely after 3 years (with major problems over 2 of those years), I decided to spend a little more on something that had everything I wanted. And the Toshiba M645 had it. It's fast, it's lightweight, and it's portable. All things that I wanted. I was concerned about the size of the keyboard, but found that it's just as easy to type on as a full-sized one. And the one thing that I really liked was the fact that I could turn off the touch pad when I'm at home using my mouse, or turn it on when I'm out researching. As far as how fast it uses a battery: I haven't had any issues with that either. Without power, my laptop has lasted 3-4 hours. (Given my old one that lasted 1 hour brand new), and could last longer if I change the power settings, I'm completely in love with my Toshiba M645!

I just recently purchased a Toshiba laptop to replace my antiquated Dell. I was a bit hesitant at first to buy a Toshiba since I have not really used one in the past. However, I have been thoroughly pleased with my computer. It came preloaded with Windows 7, and it was super easy to load all of my software on as well and runs super fast. I love the size (14") of the screen and the overall size of the laptop. I travel a lot so I don't want anything too big or bulky to carry around, but I need something big enough to actually see the screen. I love that it has great resolution and fairly good speakers for online streaming and gaming. On the down side, the exterior shell and the black keys do show any finger prints or dirt really easily. If you are OCD about that stuff, you might want to take that into consideration. I also have been using a cooling pad with my Toshiba as it does seem to get a bit warm if used for a long period of time.
