Toshiba Satellite Laptop Review

I bought 2 of these in 2005, two different models, one for my daughter and one for myself.  Both computers died within weeks of the warrently expiring.  The motherboards just quit.  Toshiba offered us a $35 gift certificate toward another of their computers.  I will never purchase their computers again.

I'm a pretty savy user.  Have 40 years of computer experience.  Luckily I did not have anything stored on there that I really needed as anything on it was not accessible after the crashes.  I have never had a computer crash or die like this in my entire career.

We now have used Dells that we have used for 3 years and they both are still going strong.

I bought these on the recommendation of a work friend who was very a PC expert.  I gave him the business when over $3500 went down the drain in a little over a year.  I thought my daughter had done something to the PC until mine just up and died too.  Mine had little use as I had a desk top at work I used most of the time and it still died.
