We bought this on a promotion at Best Buy where a 32 ' LCD television and the Toshiba notebook were sold together as a package for $1000. So, it was definitely well worth it for the money we paid. The only thing that is slightly confusing is learning how to shut off the machine. It can take a little bit to figure it out. Also, when it hiberantes or goes into a mode where the screen darkens it states that you are locked out. This can be frustrating if someone is using it who is not used to it. People think they need a password to access it, but that is actually not the case. You can just click on the administrator icon and it will let you in with no password. Overall, we have had no problems with the laptop. Like our desktop, it is not the fastest in the world, but it is quite functional and the size of the screen is really nice, yet it is a very lightweight laptop. Overall, I am happy with what we got for our money.
