I received my Toshiba Satellite notebook from my husband for my birthday, and being a writer and busy mom I truly could not be without my computer. I love the Toshiba Satellite brand because it rarely has problems like some of the other brands that I will not mention in this review. I truly believe you do get what you pay for. I also make many videos using the built in movie maker. The only negative that I can say about this computer is I do like to have a little bit bigger screen, but my husband bought me another computer monitor for it and when I am home I use the bigger screen.  For my next birthday I hope that my husband gets me another Toshiba Satellite notebook because I couldn't be happier with it. The Toshiba Satellite L635-S3040 is a great little sleek notebook that gets my needs met perfectly. It is light but durable, and for overnight traveling, nothing could be easier to slip into its case to go visit family for the weekend. ****

This is a good laptop but i do have some complaints.My internal fan has gone out three times now. for no reason. just lucky for me i has an external fan on it 24/7 so that is all that has saved my laptop mother board from buring up.As this is what happened to my 1st laptop i thought it was my fault but as it turns out it was not but a problem with the fans that are put in the laptop in the first place.i did buy the insurance on my second laptop anmd that has helped in replacing the fan but that was only for two year plan so i will be buying yet another laptop when my insurance is up.other then that the laptop is great great picture and nice size can get lots of accessories for it.

I've had my Toshiba Satellite for a couple years now and it suits all my needs and more! It plays media very well. The only thing I've been concerned about is how hot it gets. I've had to purchase and new charger after having it for 3 years and it's about time to purchase another battery soon. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the product, even though it's over-heating issues and having to purchase another charger and battery. I'm looking forward to seeing what else this company will put out in the future.

I have only owned this computer for around three months, and cannot testify to how it will hold up over time. However, for the price I paid, I have been extremely satisfied with the product. It is an extremely portable computer: lightweight with a screen that is not so high it limits conversation. I love being able to bring it to class and type notes on it. In general, it runs quickly and easily, and navigation is not overly complicated.  There is plenty of RAM for a non-gamer like me, and if you only have basic computer need, it should be completely functional. I also appreciate that the computer will make a low, inconspicuous noise to indicate that the battery has been completely charged or that the battery is low. For those concerned with preserving battery life, these reminders can are greatly appreciated. I only have some minor complaints. The speaker quality is not great, and I find myself using personal headphones when listening to music or watching a movie on my own, or plugging in a separate speaker system. In addition, I don't believe I have particularly oily hands; however, I find that the top cover of the laptop is difficult to keep looking clean and fresh.

I have had a Toshiba laptop for a while now and love it. The system is easy to use and I have not had any problems with software or malfunctioning at all. Many people say that the toshibas get really hot or overheat, I have not had this problem, and yes I put it on my lap. It get about as hot as other laptops. I like the way the keyboard is set up, it is very functional and easy to figure out where each specialty button is. This computer is also very easy to hook up to a TV. The only problem that I have had thus far is that I cannot burn DVDs, but since that is a minor thing I am not worried. The picture is very clear and colors are fantastic. I have scraped some of the paint off the mouse keys from use, which I was surprise happened so quickly. I have plugged in multiple printers, cameras and other devices with no issues. Also the software to monitor connectivity is handy since I am not very computer savy.

Awesome notebook.....have had it for 3 months.....best ever!  I shopped around for months looking for the perfect notebook...searching for quality and also looking for a good deal.  Before going with another namebrand take a closer look, because some claim to be top of the line, when they are really note.  I found the Toshiba satellite notebook to be of great quality....it is not sluggish like my last laptop. Performance is tope of the line....able to surf websites, watch videos, and play games.  If you are looking for a low-cost notebook for a teenager,this would be a great buy for that special someone.  Again, the quality is good, battery life is good

**Toshiba Satellite** is fabulous because you can be connected with all your friends and family around the world in less than a blink. it's fast processor makes simple tasks done in a jiffy, such as video editing. With the addition of Windows 7, i can have a multimedia center instantly with a click of a button. with enought disk space, there's plenty of room for music, photos and videos. the battery life is decent, but can be improved. the built-in webcam makes web conferencing, and video chat easier, especially for recording videos on YouTube. the built-in memory card reader is very convenient, so no external card reader is needed, as i can just insert my camera's memory card and viola!! all my photos and videos imported with the built-in utilities. the eSata+USB combo port makes transfering files to an external HD easier. wow I am just amazed how wonderful is this product, i will definetelly buy one.

This product is unmatched when it comes to quality. The price is a little unreasonable, but for the most part you are getting what you paid for. Its really easy to use, so easy in fact a cave man could do it. The other drawback that I found with this item was the difficulty changing the settings. I mean it gets you where you need to go, but to go any further is a challenge. But I took the money out of my savings for this thing hoping it would be worth it and sure enough it turned out to be a great buy. My hopes are that every one will see and appreciate the inginuity and passion that these guys have put into their products and that people would get behind them. Its products like these that make the world go round. So far I really like the sound. Just make sure you keep it away from kids with slippery fingers and avoid it ever hitting the ground. So thank you guys for all your great products keep it up.

The best Christmas gift I ever got was a Tosiba Satellite laptop.  I had had my computer stolen and my whole life was in it.  I had lost my job and needed a computer to find another.  Also much of my touch with the world was online.  I used it for so much. I got a laptop for Christmas and it had everything I needed.   It was a lifesaver.  I had never had a laptop before and I loved them.  Never had a Toshiba before and it has served me so well with wonderful graphics and capabilities.
