I just purchased my 3rd lab top. I must say this will be my first Toshiba. So far so good. I purchased it for my real estate business, it seams that I am very rough on my lap tops. Very difficult to carry around a desk top verison of a computer (HA HA). The keys are a nice size, not too small. Very user friendly. I would recommend it other agents as well.

There's so much to be said for this laptop. It's comfortable to use and light. I love it's easy to use convinence. I've had this laptop for about two years now and I could never use another type ever because its just that great of one. I use this everyday and it's worth every dime. I was able to use the internet practically right out of the computer. I love my pictures that i have gotten on it and music is easy use and the screen is perfect size. this is a perfect first laptop and i couldn't imagine my life without this computer. it has eveything on it. music, pictures, games, my friends cause they live in my computer rotfl.  i can watch movies on it and its easy to clean.  This is a completely worth while computer and people would be astounded how much better this laptop is compared to the mac or acer. Yes i went there.  those two computers don't touch all the amazing features included on this computer.

I am so happy with my Toshiba Sattelite. It is much better than my computer was at work. The multimedia capabilities are great and Windows 7 is a real plus. I have gone wireless with Sprint for my internet connection. It works great with my Kodak printer and has made some great DVDs. Thumbs up, Toshiba! I have had no techinal problems and Toshiba has packed the computer with many pre-installed programs. I am looking forward to finding more programs to download and enjoy. I am also impressed by how fast I can search the internet.

When my ancent Compaq laptop and desktop computers made and executed their suicide pact, I got nervous -- really nervous.  How do you give up on a relationship of more than ten years? How do you replace a relationship developed over time , with devotion and passion?  Where would I, an endlessly challenged non-techie ever find a user-friendly, neatly designed, economical, simple-to-use, fast computer?  Oh, and it had to be good-looking, too.  Well the Toshiba people heard my prayers and came up with the Satellite L500-ST2543.  Now, I not only look good when I'm hanging out over coffee, I am getting work done and thrilled with my laptop.

I'm no expert on computers.  I'm not completely sure what an Intel Pentium Inside is or the significance of an Energy Star rating.  However, I know that I'm a student that needs a reliable and easy-to-use PC.  The Toshiba Satellite L500 Series is all of that and more.  I'm an accounting major so the numeric 10-key pad is excellent for smoother data entry.  I'm almost always on-the-go and the connectivity of the WiFi is great at any wireless hotspot.  Being 5 hours away from my hometown made me homesick for a while.  The satellite has a built-in webcam and microphone with info on how to register with Skype.  This feature made keeping in contact with my family fun and simple. The only feature that I don't really like is the speakers.  They are weak and not very loud. For the most part only the highs can be heard, no bass.  I had to purchase speakers to achieve the quality sound I was looking for.

Well, after my trusty dusty iBook finally bit the dust I decided to get a new one.  After doing some research, it turns out that Toshiba actually has a better track record for longevity that Apple!  I was shocked.  (and sad...still a Mac fan though ;) )  So, trying very hard to adjust to this new information, I went looking for a PC.  And this Satellite L500 is what I ended up with.  Keep in mind that I haven't used a PC in about 7 years.  I find it very easy to use.  It came with Windows 7, and I'm sorry I can't compare functionality of other Window's systems to this one.  I have not had any problems with this (owned it for 3 months now).  I was expecting the "blue screen of death" more often, but that must just be Mac lore to scare off converts.  hahahaha Anyway, this one is 15.4".  The screen is big and video looks great. Track pad works great.  This is just a generally easy to use device.  One of my only complaints at this point is that the speakers are not very good, you'll need a pair of externals if you want to watch anything and hear it too.  The battery life is OK...I take mine out and use the power source to preserve it's life.  Sorry I don't have a better estimate for you...it lasts quite a while though.
