My Toshiba Satellite A305D-S6831 laptop notebook computer is the best laptop that I have purchased so far which came with a one year warranty.  Toshiba has excellent customer support. I have only called their customer service number just once for a minor situation and found them to be very courteous, friendly, professional and helpfull.  The features like the built in webcam is awesome. The screen size is really just right.  The skype voice and video calling is pretty awesome as well. It has features like dvd/cd drive/ burner. It has a micro chip adapter,an ethernet outlet, telephone and mutiple USB ports outlets. It has a cooling vent.  It has an express card slot.  It has a S-video (TV out) port. It has an i.LINK port.  It has an optical drive.  It has a security lock as well. It also comes with built in Wi-Fi and a free trial for Vongo and a wonderful dolby stereo surround sound system.

Being my first laptop, I am extremely pleased with this laptop.  It offers incredible value, with 250 GB space on the hard drive, which has been fantastic.  The screen is a great size, the keyboard is solid and comfortable to use.  The whole laptop feels solid and durable, and the black finish is classy and elegant.  There are some nice features like a built in mic and webcam.  There are four usb ports, which I have found useful and usually have my mouse and two external hard drives plugged in.  On the downside, while the finish is beautiful, it smudges very quickly, and being the clean freak I am, I find myself wiping the keyboard every few days.  The speakers were a huge dissapointment.  The harman/kardon label is very misleading and I got some other computer speakers as fast as possible so I didn't have to listen to these awful speakers. However, anyone looking for a laptop that has massive value look no further.

This was the first laptop I ever got. I have been using it for over a year and it still works fine.  The Internet connection has been very faulty after the first several months of its use, but that may be due to my location and the installed junk. I love the shiny keyboard... but too bad it makes all the grease stains visible. I dropped it once and it still works well; it is only a little chipped in the corner. I love the webcam function, picture quality is mediocre as always with a webcam, but I think the video quality is okay. It only emits a soft whir and it is very easy to carry around. I have brought it to the library with me numerous times and I constantly move it around in my house. Volume control is conveniently in the front of the laptop near the touchpad in the form of a scroll. I purchased this because it was inexpensive and has a large screen, which I like. Overall it is a decent model and I will probably be using it for many more years to come.

I bought my Toshiba Satellite laptop computer about 18 months ago.  So far it has been OK, but in no way superior.  I only use it to check email, surf online, and occasional Microsoft Office documents.  I do like the fact that it has a built-in webcam, which I can use for Skype.  I do like the touch pad mouse versus a mouse button, although I typically use a wireless mouse.  Screen size is good.  It is a pretty heavy laptop (not sure of its weight).  My biggest complaint is that all of the keys on the keyboard don't always work.  I don't know how to fix that - it's probably something that can't be fixed.  Nothing was ever spilled on the keyboard and i was never exposed to water or anything out of the normal.  The computer is out of warranty, so obviously it's my problem.  Another issue is that it gets extremely hot.  You certainly don't want to sit and work on it with it in your lap.  I think there's better laptops ou there for the money, but I am by no means a computer expert!!

This is the second Toshiba Satellite laptop I've owned and I am incredibly satisfied with this brand and model. My first lasted 5 years and is still running. I replaced it for a shiny newer model when the battery died and I wanted a larger internal hard drive. The only problem I have is that it came with windows Vista loaded onto it. I do not like this operating system but I cannot afford an upgrade but I can deal with it. It isn't super compatible with internet explorer and I spend most of my time on a computer on the internet, so it bothers me that i have such frequent issues browsing. Besides the operating system this is a perfect computer for all basic needs. I do a lot of homework and have all my work files on my computer, it holds all these easily and it is very easy to do all of my work on this computer. The speakers are better than most laptops which is great because I listen to a lot of music. Being a music major I have a lot of listening o do for homework or papers I may be writing. And on top of that I love to listen to music so this is a very nice feature. Its also nice for watching tv shows and movies on my computer. I give this computer a great rating because I am very happy with it and it performs well, though it does get dirty incredibly easy. This is easy to solve with a microfiber dust cloth every once in awhile and maybe some windex.

So I have had the Toshiba Satellite a305-s6898 for a year now and it is still working like Ijust got it. Some computers stop working like it did when you first got it, but not this computer, it is amazing to me that it still works like new. If you are looking to get someone a computer (laptop) for a present, you need to get this computer, because it is awesome. In my opinion this is the best computer that you could ever get anyone for christmas or their birthday. Seriously you need to get this computer, i am writing this review on this computer. Get this computer!!!!!

I am the proud owner of a Toshiba Satelite laptop 305. It is a great laptop.It has alot a great features which include but not limited to a web cam .I find this to be a great feature i use it often taking family pictures or videos of friends plus for video chat it is wonderful.I would recommened this laptop to the beginner or the pro.It also has a spot on the front to put your memory cards from your digital camera i find that to be a nice accesory.I really enjoy playing games or just chatting on this computer, it is easy to use and very light weight so i can take it anywhere i want.My 4 year old nice is able to use this computer of course she needs a adult with her but she has no problem navagating her way around the keyboard is it very bold and easy to see the keys so even the person with somewhat bad eye sight could see the keys.I enjoy using this computer everyday.I highly recommened this laptop computer to anyone looking to purchase a new computer.I hope you found this reveiw helpful in your new computer search good luck!!

Very nice and decent laptop for the price. Every thing has been running smooth and perfect except that their isnt alot of volume on the laptop. I stay online alot to check emails and surf the enternet. Very fast computer except some times when you are on different windows and one shuts down then all of them shut down and you have to start all over again. I love the fact that this computer have a voice regnition program that you can use but its not all that. I am a college student and sometimes I have papers to write and could have been helping because you are supposing to say something and it writes it down but half of the time it misunderstand and writes something else and it gets frustating because you have to erase what it wrote and type in what you wanted and it completely set you back in time so i dont recommend using that feature. The built in speakers i have are harman/kardan and its supposed to be some type of big thing or whatever but i think the speakers are not the best their is.

I am on the go alot and watch movies and videos on my laptop and this is the computer for you. With its wide very clear screen that delivers crisp clear quality and Harman/Kardon speakers that deliver a fantastic sound and great acostics. It almost feels like your own mini movie theatre. It also very wonderful if you would like to create home movies. The software is very and simple to use. I absolutely love this laptop and recommend it to everyone I know. It also has a 3.5 hour battery charge that is excellent. I don't have to worry about being plugged in all the time. The 300 gb Hard drive is plenty of space to save videos, movies, pictures, and musice. This laptop comes with the Toshiba Movie Maker which allows you turn your home videos into mini movies which you can burn onto a dvd using the built-in DVD/CD burner. Also, has plenty of USB ports for various devices and an SD slot for media cards.

I got this Toshiba computer as a graduation present and it has lived up to its expectations ever since. It runs great and the extended battery lasts up to three or four hours. My parents researched this computer making sure that they got the best computer for the least amount of money and it has come through all the way. I would recomend this computer to anyone. It runs well and is very fast. It also has a lot of memory. I have hundreds of pictures and songs and the computer runs no slower. It also maintains its look on the outside and and does not scratch. The two things that annoy me about this computer are very small and insignificant. One is that the keys get smudged easily so if you are a neat freak you may want a rag or something with it. Two is that the volume dial is on the front edge of the computer which means if you lean it against your stomach the volume sometimes goes up and down if the computer moves any little bit. This really isn't a problem, just make sure to keep the computer an inch away from you.
