I was definitely looking for a durable and dependable laptop after my last one ended up breaking on me after only two years.  I was drawn to the Tosiba laptop based on its price, and I have not been disappointed.  I have found that my laptop offers great battery ife, and definitely meets all of my needs.  Being a college student, I am constantly on my laptop, and it gets transported around on a frequent basis.  I am glad it has held up over the past year.  I still have tons of memory left on the computer, so if you are looking at a laptop that needs to have enough storage, it will definitely...

I purchased my Toshiba Satellite laptop from Office Depot in February 2008. It has worked beautifully for me every day since I brought it home. It's even pretty damage-resistant as my son dropped it two feet onto a gravel driveway (it slipped, so it wasn't going that fast), and the only thing that happened was a slight scratching of one corner.

The laptop does everything that I want/need out of a laptop. I'm not a gamer or programmer, so I don't ask for huge number crunching equations. I surf the internet, use the Office suite, pay bills, and play casual games (Bejeweled, and things like that.)....

When I was looking for a laptop, I checked EVERY major store in my area that sold one.  I finally decided on the Toshiba Satellite A-205 and boy did I make a good choice.  I have it hooked up via a router, so it is wireless in my house. Never have I had a problem with the connection--and I have a cheap router.  The speed of this laptop is phenominal.  I recommended this one to several friends and 2 have already bought one for themselves.  It has a lot of storage space--I have filled up my Ipod Touch and have all the music, movies, tv shows and other stuff saved on my laptop too.  It's great...

This toshiba laptop is pretty user friendly, however windows vista takes some getting used to.  For the money this laptop is not too heavy and operates with the basics.

The battery life is approx 2 hrs, which could be better.We use it for picture making as it came with software for video production.  It has a large memory and putting pictures together with music is a breeze.  It doesn't some with to many accessories so you may want to but a wireless mouse it really make operations easier.  You will like this computer

Toshiba laptap:  The computer has a hard time closing inernet sites. The more programs  that are opened, the slower it is to navigate sites.
