I really love my Toshiba computer.  I previously had HP which was great but I had to get an affordable computer fast after my HP started acting up with perhaps a virus.  Due to the price of my Toshiba, it goes over and beyond my expectations.  First off, my screen is really big and clear.  Then, all the applications, programs and software that comes pre loaded is a plus.  It introduced me to other things I can do with my computer.  Next, windows Vista is really good.  With my HP, which is Hewlitt Packard, I had windows XP, and although I am not that computer savy, I do prefer Windows...

I have owned the Tosiba Satellite Special Edition laptop for nearly a year now after my old HP laptop stopped working.  The price of this laptop was very reasonable.  It is fast and I've not had a major problem with it to date.  I do, however occasionally have an issue with its ability to locate the wireless internet connection in my home.  I took it to Geek Squad at my local Best Buy and they fixed it with no problem.  However, they were unable to tell me if this problem was simply due to something with the actual internet in my home or if it was the laptop.  If it is the laptop, it's not...

The toshiba satellite laptop computer is not bad for a pc.   It does have some problems as all pcs do and is slowing down after 3 yrs of use.   I have had to have it fixed a number of times.   It is not great for graphics programs and performs very slowly when using photoshop or illustrator.   The screen is good quality for those programs. 

The speakers are harman/kardon and are among the best I've  heard on laptop computers.   They are quite a bit louder than on other laptops and do not get static when the volume is turned up to the maximum level.

I mostly use my laptop for checking e-mail, Facebook, e-Bay, and other such sites so I am not a serious techie or a gamer.  However, I have found that my Toshiba is a perfect fit for me.  It came loaded with Windows Vista, but I have not experienced any problems with the new operating system.  Sometimes it repeatedly asks if I want to allow a program to continue, but overall it functions much like my older laptop which had Windows 98. 

I use my Toshiba laptop to store, upload, and edit pictures and have had no problems doing the basics.  The memory is a good size so I don't have to worry about...

I have owned this Toshiba Satellite for over 3 years, and it has been nothing but faithful!  I use it with my Embird program to digitize pictures for people for Christmas, & holidays.  It is very easy to hook to both of my Janome sewing machines.It easily stores not only my designs, but countless others I have downloaded over the years. My Toshiba Satellite turns on easily, warms up fast, and I am ready to get to work.  The Toshiba Satellite is hooked to my wireless internet, and again, it takes only a few seconds, and I am online surfing the net.

Toshiba Satellite laptop: I love my new laptop. It was purchased at Best Buy. I looked at several different brands and sizes. I chose the Toshiba Satellite laptop, due to the perfect size and all the features I wanted for a great price. It has exceded my expectations in performance. I used to be the owner of a Emachines M5405 Notebook, when after almost 5 years, it began to fall apart. I mean the screen was hanging on by the wires, and the only way I could use it was if it was propped up against something heavy. I finally had enough. I purchased my Toshiba Satellite in 2007. I have had a few problems with it. These problems were easily fixed. I was able to still get all my files off and only had to use the factory restore disk to fix the problems. Other than this my laptop has completely simplified my life. The programs provided with the computer when I purchased it are still the programs I use today. They are simple to understand and work very well. Although now the hard drive on my computer is considered to be small, it is still enough to save anything I have ever wanted onto my computer. A higher RAM memory could help out...

Very easy to use. Set up and manual super easy. Nice desgin, lightweight, and excellent, excellent customer service.This model came with some really nice features built in that are not available on all models right off the shelf.Battery life is a little short, but this is a larger unit, with a 17 inche display screen, so that may have something to do with it. Looks nice, but runs like a lemon. This laptop always runs hot and crashes every day.  Did it from the very first day I bought it. But if you don't mind that - then this is the one for you!

The VISTA operating system is the absolute worst!  Feel it's the bigger problem...going back to MAC with my next computer for sure. Never had problems with APPLE.

I have had several laptops, and although I had a beautiful HP Pavillion with all the whistles and bells, it stopped working right at 1 year. This Toshiba (purchased to replace the HP) laptop was drastically less cost, and very reliable. I have been very satisfied!

My Toshiba Satellite is very easy to use, even though I'm not a techy. I can figure out how to do most things I need or want to do.

I love my Toshiba. I have had no trouble with it and would buy another.
