We bought this product a few months ago to replace a Phillips divx-compatible player that finally bit the dust, and I have to say we are VERY satisfied with it.  Not only was it cheaper than the Phillips originally was, but it offers tons of more features, not the least of which is the ability to fast-forward and rewind avi files...when we did that on the Phillips, it would skip to the end of the file.  The player is amazingly easy to set up, with adequate documentation to get you going in seconds.  Yes, this is a higher-priced player than some, but if you have a need to play multiple format files, this IS the the player for you!
