Toshiba 32" 720p 60Hz LED HDTV - 32L1400U

Summary

Improve Your View with the Toshiba 32" 720p Slim LED HDTV

Up your game's clarity with the Toshiba slim LED HDTV. The 720p resolution means a sharper picture, while the LED display enhances shadows and highlights, creating a richer image. The 32 in. screen is a comfortable size for most rooms. This television can be hung on the wall or secured to its stand for versatile displaying. Its slim design (3.3 in. depth without stand; 7.1 in. with stand) means it won't take up too much space.

Nice TV, a little too large for our small living room

5

Overall, we are pretty happy with the Toshiba 32" flat screen television that we have, but - perhaps surprisingly to those who prefer larger screens - we actually would rather have a smaller one, perhaps 27" Picture Quality Definitely an improvement over our old tube TVs. Sound Quality Sound is better, too. Durability Haven't had it long enough to know. Design Too big, but otherwise nice.

Outdated by Todays Standards

The Toshiba 32" 720p LED HDTV is what I would call a starter model, or a model for someone who is looking to upgrade to an HDTV, but is not looking to spend a whole lot on it. By today's standards, this model is very outdated. with only 60Hz, you are cutting sound quality down by a lot. Most modern models are operating at 240Hz. This may not be an issue if you're a casual television viewer. This Toshiba model also operates at 720p. This is a significant drop in visual quality. All High Def media is being produced at 1080p. This produces a much sharper and vibrant picture quality. When you view 720p movies on a 1080p, you start to see a jagged outline around the picture. The screen is also very small, but this may not be a problem if you are looking for a smaller television. What is good about this is that it is made by Toshiba, who makes quality products. The remote is very user friendly, as are the on screen menus. Overall, this is a solid model, but will soon be obsolete. I would only recommend this as a basic starter tv, or for someone who only watches their television on a casual basis. Picture Quality Good, but outdated by today's standards. Sound Quality Good, but outdated by today's standards.

Decent television/monitor, but not for gaming

I purchased the Toshiba 32" 720p 60Hz LED HDTV as a monitor for my computer. The screen quality is above average and the viewing angles are great. I have noticed that this screen easily attracts light, which causes a slight glare, so I usually only view the screen in complete darkness or very dim lighting. I'm not impressed with the speakers on this television. The sound is only listenable when the volume is turned all the way up for dialogue, but extremely loud and thin when it comes to sound effects/music. I was able to get around this issue by adding a sound bar. The television is great for reading text and watching videos, but I found it to be only adequate for gaming. I tried playing a very graphic intense game and found that there was enough screen lag to affect my performance. I tried changing the resolution and it had no impact on the ghosting effect. I would still recommend the Toshiba 32L1400U as a television or a monitor, but not as a gaming monitor.

great tv

I bought this tv when I was in college for our dorm room. I bought it on amazon for a couple hundred bucks. Totally worth the money. It was a great size for our room, and it fit in perfectly. We used it for watching tv, watching movies, playing games, or hooking our laptops up to it so we could skype with our families back home. The tv lasted forever and through multiple moves from year to year and dorm room to dorm room. Picture Quality It has great picture quality, it was crisp and clear. Playing games was great on it, showed the details and didn't get too dark. Sound Quality We were in a dorm room, so the sound quality was perfect for us. I don't really know how well it sounds when you put it in a larger room with more space and the volume turned up. Durability Super durable! It went through a beating being moved every year when you move into and out of dorm rooms. The picture and sound quality that we were used to stayed the same. We never had a problem with things just mysteriously not working like some of our other electronics. Design The design was nice, the tv as a whole was slim. It blended in well into our dorm room.
