Solid leaf blower

After moving into our own house, we bought this leaf blower for clearing leaves out of some rock flower beds and a garden that has above-ground sprinkler lines running through it. It works well for blowing leaves out, and the vacuum also does a good job of getting leaves out of hard to reach areas where the blower can't get them out into the yard. The one thing to be careful of is vacuuming around smaller rocks or gravel, as small pieces can go up and damage the impeller. But overall, it has worked well. It was very easy to assemble, and it is easy to switch between blowing and vacuuming. The vacuum is designed to reduce eight bags of leaves down to one bag of shredded leaves, so it saves a lot of trash bags and space when taking trash to the dump. The electric motor is much quieter than a gas blower, and it doesn't give the problems starting that a gas blower sometimes has. I would highly recommend this leaf blower, especially when working in smaller areas where it is not too big of a pain to move a cord around.

Best Blower For The Price

Although the Toro Electric Power Sweep blower is electric, it is very powerful and durable. I bought mine around five years ago and use it regularly without any problems. I use the blower atleast once a week to blow the leaves and dust from my porches. This blower is really easy and simple to use. Also, it is very lightweight so using it doesn't wear you out. It has two speeds that work great. I can use the lower setting and it cleans everything perfectly. I like to use the lower because it is a little quieter. This is a great item to have for large of small areas. If my Toro Electric Power Sweep electric blower were to go out today, I would definitely be purchasing another one right away. This blower has helped out alot when it comes to yard work. It has made it so much easier and faster to finish. I have gotten lots of use out of this blower with no problems what so ever. I would definitely like to recommend this product to everyone.

Awesome leaf blower -real simple

Easy to use, lightweight leaf blower. Gets the job done no matter what the size of the job is. I like it mostly for blowing out my garage and driveway, but it works great on leafs too. Weight It's lightweight, so you don't feel like your carrying a few milk gallons like the gas leaf blowers Performance It does a great job at removing leafs and debri at any speed setting, I find the med setting works the best. Has a few different blowing settings all which are perfect for that job whether it's just light stuff or major leaf pickup either one this leaf blower doesn't an excellent job. Handling Super easy to hold and the cord does not get into your way. Very easy to move around with Ease of Use Since it's lightweight it is easy to get around with it. Also it's not super huge so it's easy to manuver around unlike the gas powered ones. The cord is also a good length it's perfect for the standard garage and driveway. Durability We've had ours for a few years now and it runs perfect everytime with no issues.

Toro Leaf Blower - a good buy!

5

I purchased this blower last fall and it is easy to use and does a great job. Besides blowing leaves it mulches and is great for my compost pile. This is a product I would recommend, it is sturdy and I am sure I will get many years of use out of it. Although it is not recommended, last winter I did use it to blow some snow off of my deck and it worked for me. I would not recommend using it for this purpose but it is good to know if you are in a bind. Weight It is great for my husband to use and I can use it but it is somewhat cumbersome for myself if I add the attachments. Performance Performs great and does a great job of cleaning leaves without breaking your back. Makes leaf cleaning very easy. Handling I had no problem putting it together and it is very easy to use.. Ease of Use Directions are very simple and the product itself is very easy to assemble and use.. Durability I believe this piece of equipment will last a very long time with proper care and handling.

Toro still on the right track with their "Ultra" leaf blower.

This is a great little unit for the money. It is electric, light weight and easy for me to handle. It has the necessary power needed to get the job done. Weight We had a leaf blower that did a great job of blowing the leaves etc. from the yard. The problem was it was so heavy that I could not handle it for any length of time. This unit is great and it has turned out to be a real work horse. It is so difficult for me to get rid of something like this when it still works okay but in this case it was a good decision and I am so glad that we went ahead and made the change to the Toro Electric Leaf Blower. Performance This unit has the necessary power to do the job. We have a lot of area that is what would be considered a desert landscape and a leaf blower is a really important tool. We need it to run for long periods of time without overheating and to have enough power to do the job quickly. Quite a challenge to find a unit that measure up to the challenge. "Toro" is a good brand and the "Ultra" model is a great model. Handling Lightweight but powerful Ease of Use You don't have to be muscles to use this unit. Durability We haven't had it long enough to determine but I would be willing to buy another one.

Perfect for blowing out my front/back yards.

I use this blower mainly for getting rid of debris out of my front and back yards, especially after bad thunderstorms. We do not have an excessive amount of storms at my house, but the ones that we do have, have a lot of leaves. During a storm, they will lose a lot of leaves and this blower works great at blowing the leaves into piles so I can get them into bags for the trash truck. I also use it clean off my driveway. The wonderful thing about this blower is that it is really lightweight. I love that about this blower. I can carry on my own and I do have to wait for my husband do the yard work. It has enough power to get all of the leaves blown out of my yard into piles and then my driveway done too. Also, it was really affordable. I think we purchased it on sale at Sear's. I would recommend this blower if you do not have an excessive amount of trees or leaves you need to get rid of. Weight It is not really heavy at all. I am not very strong and I can handle this blower on my own. Performance I think the performance of this blower is wonderful. It does exactly what I need it to do.

Okay blower, but underpowered

I was given the Toro Electric Power Sweep Electric Blower from a friend as a gift. I'm not big on leaf blowers and didn't really see the point, but I did give this blower a try. This blower needed to be assembled before using and the process only required 2 steps in under 30 seconds to complete. The blower is extremely light. I can maneuver this machine with one arm with ease. When this device is powered on it's not too loud on either of the two settings. The noise level is on par with a hair dryer. When blowing dry leaves or debris off of concrete this device does a good job for the most part. Wet leaves can be a little difficult especially if they're grouped together. Blowing leaves off of my grass on the highest setting just isn't efficient enough. The Toro blew away leaves on the top of the grass, but had trouble with lifting entrenched debris. Despite its short comings I would recommend this blower to people looking to do some light yard work.

Good starter model for a medium sized area.

Like all electric blowers, it's not particularly powerful. 4 years in running, it still works fine. You have to learn the best way to use it. Weight Heavy. Handling Due to its weight, it could get tiresome for a big yard and lots of leaves.

Really like my Toro model 51585 electric leaf blower

4

I am not sure this is the exact blower that the reviewer I slelected has but it sounds a lot like it. The Toro model 51585 leaf blower was inexpensive but appers to be of decent quality. The blower is light weight and easy to use and carry around. It has an extention nozzle that secures easily. This mode has 2 blower speeds which I reallly like. The lower speed is nice nad doesn't to blow stuff back into your face. The higher speed is all that I need for the use I have for a leaf blower. I also like the way you can secure the extention cord to the blower and not have the cord coming loose so often as with an older leaf blowe that I still have. The Toro leaf blower is a good bit lighter than the older blower that i have and is better balanced. The motor only pulls 7 amps with is good for the long extention cord that I use for blowing off my driveway and sidewalk. I would definitely recommend this blower for light weight jobs around your home.

The Toro Ultra sucks... leaves, lots of leaves!

4

When it came time to purchase a blower/mulcher I spent some time researching various models and ultimately decided on the Toro Ultra. The fact that it has a metal impeller played a large role in my decision, and I have had absolutely no problems with over 2 years of use. Most of the time, I use it to suck up and mulch large piles of leaves. While the mulching ratio may be a bit optimistic, it is more than adequate and comparable to what I have seen with other mulchers. Without out it, I would have 20 bags of leaves sitting on my curb instead of 4 or 5. It is also a blower, and had more than enough power to handle the task... even wet leaves are no match with the included nozzle. The variable speed dial is a definite plus. It allows you to turn down the power to vacuum up leaves in a bed without also sucking up all of the bark mulch or bedding material. It also allows you to be more precise when blowing leaves and debris around, without just scattering it all over. My only complaint would be that it is a bit difficult to switch between blower and mulcher because, even after 2 years, the latch is quite stiff. Other than that I couldn't be happier.
