Pros

space saver, No weeding, and easy to water

Cons
Is the foam piece creating disease?, needs a very strong shepard hook to hold, Harder than a garden, plants dieing, growing up the sides, no blossoms forming, seems to need more water than pots, 2 people needed to start plants, heavy to lift up

Topsy Turvy Upside - Down Tomato Planter —

I purchased three of the Topsey Turvery planters this season.  I like the idea of using the space saving design to get more use of my garden space.   I started many varieties of tomatoes from seed for both the garden and the Tospey Turveys.  To date the Topsey tomatoes have yet to produce any blooms, where the exact same plants in the garden are already producing fruit.  In addition the plants in the Topsey Turvey are growing up the sides of the unit instead of upside down.  I'd estimate my Topsey tomatoes to be about 8 to 10 inches in height where my garden grown tomatoes of the same varieties, started from the same seeds, with the same soil (container mix since I square foot garden), at the exact same time are approximately 3 ft in height and like I mentioned before already producing edible fruit.  I do not recommend this product and will be selling 3 cheaply on Craigslist as soon as these plants die or finally produce fruit - if they ever do.
