Toppik Toppik Hairline Optimizer Review

Ever since I had my third child my hair as been thinning on the top which as been pretty heartbreaking for me.  Recently I found a product called Toppok that actually fills in the thinning on my head and you can't even tell it is there.  It has been an amazing thing for me, and has made me feel more confident and made me feel so much better about myself.  You sprinkle the Toppik on and it sticks to your own hair and bonds to it.  I did a review on it if you would like more information on it, just scan through my reviews and you will find it. 

The last time I went to order more Toppik I saw the Toppik Optimizer comb.  The Toppik stays on pretty well, but sometimes if you get it a little too close to the forhead you can see the line of it.  When I saw the Toppik Optimizer comb I thought this it might help to move the Toppik back and I just thought since it a product made to use with Toppik that I should have it.  So I ordered it.  The Optimizer cost $2.50 and I received two of them so they were really only $1.25 each. 

When I got it I was surprised that it was so thin and appears to be made of a thick paper like card stock, and coated with something which I can not figure out.  The bottom of the Optimizer comb is circular, the comb part kind of looks like the top of a little boys head with a spikey hair cut.  The combs are actually all different lengths.  It is only about 4 inches long.

I have to say I didn't get the optimizer out until I made a mistake and sprinkled the Toppik a little to close to my forehead.  When I did that I got it out and gave it a try.  Hoping to push back the top, and get it back out of site and back in to my hair line, but it did not really work, instead it just kind of made lines through the Toppik on the edge of my forhead.  So I just had to wipe that off.  What it did do though is give the top of my hair a little more volume which was nice, but it was just slightlier more volumizing than a regular comb. 

Since it is only a couple of bucks you may or may not want to get this comb, it adds a little volume, but didn't do much for controling the Toppik.  I won't be buying any more because I was un-impressed over all, but for the price if you are using Toppik you many want to give a try.  I am not un-reccomending it but I am not giving it a strong recommendation either.
