A Kitchen Aid stand mixer is truly an heirloom.  You could will it to your heirs because it never breaks down or wears out.  It allows hands free mixing while you create your favorite heirloom recipes.  There are so many attachments, you can create anything.

My two favorite attachments are the doughhook and ice cream bowl.  Forget the bread machine.  You can make any bread recipe quickly and easily because the doughhook kneads for you.  Just measure ingredients into the bowl, turn on the mixer, and in a few minutes you have homemade dough goodness to shape how you want and bake.  The ice cream bowl stores in your freezer so no ice is needed to make any flavor of ice cream you want.  I've even made sherbet which rivals anything you buy at the store.

The recipe book that comes with the mixer is packed with a huge variety of choices.  Be sure to take advantage of tested delicious recipes while you're using your new gem of a mixer. 

I haven't yet purchased all of the attachments available but they would make great gift suggestions.  I think I'll ask Santa to bring me the pasta maker attachment.  Imagine being able to make your own fettucini!  You could flavor it gourmet style with sun dried tomato or lemon flavors.  The Kitchen Aid mixer is the ultimate toy for food lovers who love to cook. 

Buy this mixer - you won't be disappointed.  The hardest part will be to choose just one color from the huge selection.  There is even a design with flames on the side!  I guess this is for the male group of foodies!
