Here I go again...showing my age. My list of Top Ten Comedy Movies in no particular order is...
10: His Girl Friday from 1940 starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. (Based from The Front Page)
9: Spaceballs from 1987 starring Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman, John Candy and of course Mel Brooks.
8: National Lampoon's Animal House from 1978 starring John Belushi and Tim Matheson. (FOOD FIGHT!)
7: The Front Page from 1974 starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. (This is an update from the original movie done in 1931.)
6: Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb from 1964 starring...
review »Comedies are my second favorite of movie genres. Here are my most recommended comedy movies that I could watch again and again and again (listed in no particular order or preference):
1. Shaun of the Dead: It's described as "A romantic comedy with zombies in it."
2. Dirty Love: although this movie won razzie awards, I think it is absolutely hilarious. That is, of course, if you like that sort of comedy. Jenny McCarthy is fantastic and there is also a great comedic performance by Carmen Electra.
3. Super Troopers: Broken Lizard's first movie. Very funny. Sort of like police academy...
