Comments about Top Care Triple Antibiotic Ointment:
When one of my feral cats scratched my hand, I had no antibiotic ointment in the house.
My intention was to buy a brand name ointment, but I only had time to run to the corner store. I hesitantly bought Top Care Triple Antibiotic Ointment and applied it to the small scratch.
By the next day, the scratch was barely visibible! I used the ointment for the next few days to prevent an infection.
I now use the Top Care Triple Antibiotic Ointment for various uses. When I begin to have soreness in my piercing in my ear, I open the cap of the Top Car Triple Antibiotic Ointment and dip the gold stem of my earing into the ointment and then place the stem into the piercing hole of my ear. I do this for about three days and the inflammation disappears.
When I cut my toenails, I inevitably end up with one or two ingrown toe nails and a mild infection. I apply the Top Care Triple Antibiotic all around the tops of the nails of which I just trimmed as a prophylactic to prevent an infection and it works every time!
The 1 oz. tube of Top Care Triple Antibiotic Ointment is white, orange, and aqua with Top Care written in white. The writing on the aqua says, "Original Strength First Aid Antibiotic Ointment." The tube measures 4.5" from top of cap to bottom and is 1..5" wide.
The following is stated on the tube:
**Active Ingredients: **Bacitracin Zinc 400 units, Neomycin Sulfite 3.5 mg, and Polymyxin B Sulfate 5,000 units
**Uses: **First aid to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, or burns
**Directions: **Clean the infected area; apply a small amount of this product on the area 1 to 3 times daily. May be covered with a sterile bandage.
I don't remember what I paid for the Top Care Triple Antibiotic Ointment, but I am sure it was much less than the brand name and it works the same!
Thank you for reading my review.
