The boob tube, idiot box, sin portal, whatever you want to call it, TV is an integral part of our daily lives. I know some people who watch only the news. To me, that's like watching the most boring episode of The A-Team over and over again. Same stuff, ad nauseum. I do watch the news (but not Fox news, which reminds me of a Beatles song. The one that goes, "Try to see it my way. Do I have to keep on talking til I can't go on?"), but mostly, I watch for sheer escapism.
