Tony Little Fizzle Gazelle

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

Not impressed. However, it is easy to use and quite compared to most equipment, however, I'm not sure if it works.  You could easily stand there and just slide your legs back and forth and not even break a sweat.  I was surprised how heavy it was and the fact that I have to leave it out in the open because I don't know where to store it.  It's too heavy to keep moving. It folds up and I could move it easily, but I don't want to pick it up all the time.  I purchased it because it was on sale and inexpensive, but watching the ads on TV, I thought it would help me lose weight.  Boy, was I wrong.  It's great to plop it in front of the TV and you could just...

20 minutes 3 X a week to a great set of legs

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Gazelle is by far the only exercise equipment I have ever bought and used for more than a month. I used it at least 3 times a week for only 20 minutes and my legs and butt were in awesome shape within 6 months. I love it because it is quiet and easy to use! I used it and could talk on the phone, read books and watch television at the same time. There is no learning really. You just step on the pedals and move your legs back and forth while you move your arms with the handles at the same time. It really only helped me with lower body though. And It is heavy. But once you are in shape that should not be a problem!

Taking a walk is cheaper and achieves the same results

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I bought this "Tony Little Gazelle" and was so excited to try it out, but between Tony Little (who seems to have a little too much pep) and the fact that I could take a walk and ultimately achieve the same thing. It's a good machine but I could run on a treadmill, or take a walk outside(the cheapest option). I buy **many **pieces of excersise equipment but this one is the least of my favorites. This machine may be collapsable and has that going for it but it's overall frame is still much too big to really fit anywhere. I also didn't feel like I could get my heart rate up, so I guess if your looking for a less intense work out you could buy the Gazelle, but like I said going for a walk may be your better option.

Good idea but the squeak could drive you crazy.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

The Tony Little Gazelle is a fair-quality elliptical trainer. The digital piece shows time, amount travelled, and calories burned. The unit easily folds for storage but is still a bit large so an ample-sized space needs to be available. Use is easy and a nice alternative when jogging is impractical or undesirable. The drawback with the Tony Little Gazelle is that it sqeaks loudly when being used. At first, it was quiet; but, after only a small amount of use, the noise started. Neither machine oil nor white lithium grease was able to solve the problem. The oil was too thin for the sqeaky load-bearing joints and the grease was too thick to get where it needed to be.

Great for my knees

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I have a knee injury that is aggravated by EVERYTHING, even just walking down the stairs.  But this machine uses a motion that doesn't bother it at all.  It's smooth and gentle, but still allows me to feel like I'm getting a workout and improving my health.

My main complaint is that the resistance lacks a middle ground.  Either you attach the resistance cords or you don't.  Without them, you have to swing at a very fast rhythm in order to feel like you're getting a real workout.  With them, the action becomes less smooth, more choppy.  You have to push quite a bit.  I like to switch back and forth between the levels, but an intermediate level would be grea...

Nice rhythmic action; easy to adjust workload

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought the freestyle Elite plus the air pistons and have it on intermediate resistance. I won't say how little I paid, second hand in good condition. (but less than buying a half tank of gas these days!) I have used elliptical's that have a push down and back action but this one you can "air jog" or swing without hurting knees or back. Very low impact and you can get a nice pace/cadence and keep going for long periods.

The pulse monitor works better than average but the other functions are not working....no matter, I time myself on my timer and usually I can keep going past what my goal minimum is of 20 minutes. Easy to warm up and cool down by lowering the action and just coasting back and forth. I agree great alternative to walking. We have ours outdoors on a covered deck and I can get the outdoor air cooling while I exercise.

Tony Little's Freestyle Gazelle is FUN but may be dangerous...

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I have Tony Little's Freestyle Gazelle in my living room. I love it and have mixed feelings about it at the same time.

Con's: I was standing toward the back of the foot tread's, hands on the handles and leaning backward's as I talked with a friend. I was leaning backward with my upper body weight sort of stretching my arms when I suddenly went straight backwards, still holding onto the handles and I did a complete upside down flip where I landed hard on my upper back, feet in the air, still hanging onto the handles. I am thankful I had not let go of the handles as the foot tread's would have swung back down and hit me in the head. It's REALLY funny now and I wish I had video of it BUT in th...

i want this to work, however....

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

this machine gives a good quality cardio workout, and is gentle on my arthritic joints, but i've not lost a single pound-  and i've been using it religiously for FOUR YEARS. it does not store away easy like advertised, and it's heavy, and very hard to move with just one person. i do feel better having used it, so that is something- i do not look any different. i'm not in shape.

gazelle is alright by me

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

i got this as a christmas present from my neighbor one year pretty neat not the worst thing i could've received  . it was hers for awhile but she didnt want it anymore. i dont know why not i like it i dont pay to much attention to the timer part or the calories burned i just use it when i watch tv i love that its not strenuous and that its simple . i was a little worried at first, because it is so big ,having it my small apartment but it folds up nicely  and i can keep it behind the couch . i do wish that it were a little less heavy because i would love to put it in a closet but  there is no way im lifting this thing up and down the stairs everyday .  . oh and i like how you can work the inside of your legs as well and arms . i will admit i do have some trouble keeping my balance on it though but its no biggie i just have to hold on tighter to the handlebars . my husband also like using it he says it takes the place of a brisk walk outside when the weather isnt permitting .

Love it!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My family loves this machine!!  If the weather does not permit to go outside and get fresh air to exercise you will love this just for that fact!  It didn't take long to get use to this, because i use to ski.  But i usually get on this when i watch what i have recorded during the day. I will also use this for my prayer time at night...   We have one of the "Plus" machines, when ours folds up it takes up room but i don't think as much as what the original does. I would definitely recommend this product, with this one i don't think the squeak is as loud, but my husband is in search of something to take care of that... In the mean time turn up your IPOD or Tv or whatever anyone else is doing to drown it out... Remember the benefits...

Tony Little gazele

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I first started to use my tony little Gazelle about 6 months ago .  I purchased it fromt he TV for about $200.  Well after about 3 months and I realized that this machine gives you a really good workout .  You could listen to your ipod or watch tv or Dvds while you are working out and you can get time and exercise passes right by.  But the padded handle bars the slipp resistant footing are all things that add to the excellent engineering of this fitness machine.  This is probably the most publicized machine that I own, but rarely do i hear an actual review of it.  It folds easily and storage is abeeze.  It gives the ability to track how many calories that you have burne dand how many miles it took you.  The gazelle is excellent for every member in my household.  I would recommend it.  And even if you do not like it they let you try the gazelle for about a month before committing i find that so great.

This is the best workout I've ever gotten

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I work out on this machine every day and I feel like a totally different person.  I'm never tired during the day like I used to be and I look great.  I've never felt so good about myself in my life.  If I could recommend one piece of equipment, this would be it.

This exercise machine doesn't hurt your knees like a treadmill!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Gazelle, which I purchased at the store rather than off of TV ads, has been a wonderful addition to our home gym.  It provides the wonderful effects of a treadmill without the stress to my knees that I have normally experienced on a treadmill.  It is absolutely great for a workout at home!  The downfalls to this system seem to be in its weight...it is not as portable as I had hoped.  It doesn't have a heart-rate monitor.

Very easy and practical to use at home!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I like that it is easy to access and to put away. It doesn't take up much room and I can pull it out use it and slide it away. I like the fact that I can watch Tv,read a magazine, or listen to my ipod. I am not confined to doing one thing because it is so mobile.

Exercize while you watch TV!!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have owned a 'basic' Gazelle from Tony Little for about 7 years now. It was very cost efficient at about $99 and it has held up nicely for me. It is very easy on the knee joints and while it has pretty simple controls, it tracks miles, time spent and calories burned for you. It folds for storage and is easy to move around. It is quiet, so I like to use it while watching my favorite TV shows!
