TomTom - GO 510 GPS Receiver Review

Up until about 4 to 5 years ago I was very good about finding places near and far using a map or my own sense of direction and then all of a sudden I don't know what happened but I became "geographically challenged" as I like to call myself :)

A friend of mine had one of these TomTom devices in his car and swore by it it I thought he paid to much and it was kind of silly back then .

Well about a year later I bought a mobile home in FL (I live in MA) and kept getting lost when I'd go  down there.I decidedx to research this GPS thing again and found myself looking on one of the auction sites I have always liked UBID.com of course there are many and I don't endorse any I know many use e-bay,amazon,overstock,tigerdirect,goodegg there are so many so if you shop online you know your spots I shop them all and compare too :)

In any case I bought one online since we all know the savings is much better and in all honesty best thing I ever invested in ,no more pulling over to look at a map,if there is an accident a voice tells me and re routes me,if I miss my turn same thing,if you have a blue tooth phone you can go hands free through this device,you can put in toll roads or avoid them,great for short trips too,I use it to find my way in and out of Boston with all the changes (The Big Dig changes one ways constantly). I also drive from MA to FL . Easy to program you can also opt to have it plot along your route things like restaurants,airports,gas stations (already pre-programmed you just choose what you want) I have all dunkin donuts,beaches,gas stations myself personal preferances got to have my coffee.

Everytime someone goes on a road trip and heres Darth Vader telling me to enter hiber space in 300 yards or I have reached the dark side . They are dying to buy one ..in all seriousness though it keeps my eyes on the road and saves the frustration of getting lost and getting to places on time . 

I would like to add it comes with a dash/windshield mount I prefer to keep mine in the cup holder beside me after all it talks to me that way it doesn't distract me and i can glance down a oment if I want to view it ,I found in the windshield the light made me want to look at it more for me bad move just my opinion .
