This product is great for kids. I bought this product for my 8-yr-old and it works great! Controls his odor and works for sensitive skin. I tell the truth, I was looking all around for something for sensitive skin or something a child could use. My son was starting to smell like a grown man. So I started doing some research online and have some information on different products but this product seemed to have the best revies and had seen it before in the store. It is however a pretty expensive deodorant compared to other brands butI think it is worth it especiaIly since one bottle has lasted my son for months now. It works well and the initial expense works itself out by not having to purchase very often at all. I would highly recommend this product! Just give it a try if you are looking for a great deodorant for a young child or a person with sensitive skin. Hope this review helps someone.

As a general rule, I am a huge fan of natural products that are environmentally friendly. I love Tom's toothpaste and decided to try the Tom's of Maine long lasting Deodorant Stick. Unfortunately this product was a total fail for me. Although I loved the smell and the product made my skin fresh and smooth, it was totally ineffective. I am not an overly sweaty person, and I do not do a massive amount of physical activity, but this deodorant simply did not work for me. Most of the time I could not even tell I was wearing deodorant. I was seriously disappointed, because I wanted a natural deodorant, and when I found this product I was so excited. This price is a little high to begin with, but that does not bother me as much as the fact that the product completely just doesn't work. It makes more sense, from a financial perspective, to skip the deodorant altogether and go natural than it does to pay for a product that doesn't work.

My wife wanted to us to try more natural deodorant after hearing about the risks for "mainstream" deodorants and what you might typically find at the drugstore. Tom's of Maine appeared to have the most reasonably priced natural alternative so we decided to try it. My wife says that I am a deodorant addict, as I tend to use a lot I guess. I am used to strong-smelling deodorants like Old Spice, so this was very different. I really didn't feel that this deodorant did the job. It just didn't keep me from smelling! I tried it for awhile and finally came to the conclusion that I might as well just go without. I have since gone back to Old Spice. My wife was Tom's deodorant also and said that it irritated her skin and after a few days she got a bright red rash under her arm that she is sure came from using Tom's of Maine. Perhaps she is allergic to an ingredient. Still, after both of our experiences with Tom's of Maine, we can't recommend this deodorant.

 husband and I started using natural deoderants about three months ago. We have heard about the potentially harmful affects of anti-perspirants which contain chemicals that could harm our bodies for a while but had never taken the plunge to switch. We decided it was time to try something that is more safe for our bodies and we purchased several differnt types to experiment with. The Tom's of Maine Natural Care 12-Hour Long Lasting Aluminum-Free Deoderant Stick is one of my husband's favorites. He prefers the deoderant stick to similar roll-on varieties. However, he does normally need to apply this Tom's deoderant stick twide each day since his days are longer than 12 hours. With two daily applications the Tom's of Maine Natural Care 12-Hour Long Lasting Aluminum-Free Deoderant Stick keeps him odor free except maybe after a long workout. Even then he doesn't smell particularly bad, just not shower fresh. One downfalls of this deoderant is that it must be put on clean skin in order to work properly. So if my husband skips showering applying this deoderant doesn't really help very much. Also, this deoderant  definitely works better when you let it dry before getting dressed.

For the past year, I've been looking at my commonly used hygiene products and reading their labels to see what I'm putting on my skin. Shocked by what I read was in my anti-perspirant, I decided to look for something less artificial and potentially harmful to my body. Enter Tom's of Maine Mountain Spring PG Deodorant. I've been using this product for roughly three months and all I can say is "it's okay." The scent is very light, and it does take some time getting used to applying it (it's very rough in the beginning texture-wise), but my biggest complaint (and why I only rated this three stars) is the burn! This product stings! I've checked the ingredients and there's nothing in it that I am allergic to, so I am at a loss for the string sensation. I've tried waiting a few hours to apply it versus right after hopping out of the shower, but it still stings and it hurts ... A LOT! Despite the sting, I haven't found anything yet that works as well as this deodorant in the natural category. I would recommend using it if you're looking for something more natural, but beware of the potential sting.
