Tom's of Maine Anti Plaque Toothpaste Review

Tom's of Maine Natural Antiplaque Tarter Control Plus Whitening flouride free toothpase is my favorite. It has a nice minty fresh taste that sometimes takes a bit of getting used to but once you do you are hooked! It leaves your teeth and mouth feeling so clean and there is no grit. I have been using it for years and I wish it came in a travel size so I wouldn't have to use the trial sizes of commercial toothpastes when I travel.

The reason I love it has a little story. I turned to all natural toothpaste and mouthwash quite a few years ago after being diagnosed with cavity after cavity. I would brush and floss religiously and even tried the popular flouride mouthwashes but nothing helped. The dentist always told me it was "the water" here at the beach and so did my best friend's mom who was a teacher. She was appaled at the condition of her student's teeth when she first started teaching here. Then I started reading about the harmful effects of flouride and how we are actually getting too much of it in our water and in our food. After that I chose to try something natural and found this product. SInce then I have had great results, a dramatic decrease in cavities (only one in the past five years) and even surprised my dentist. 

Five stars for a super product. I use it at least twice a day and it's the only toothpaste I buy. It may be a little more expensive than commerial brands but it is well worth it!
