TomTom - One XL GPS Navigation System Review

I had a very frustrating experience with this product.  I bought one and on the way home, I was able to use it.  It worked great!  When I got home and connected it to my computer is when all of the trouble started.

All of a sudden I could not access any of the menus.  I disconnected it from my computer,  re-started my computer, tried it all again.  Nothing worked.  I called Tech Support and an hour later, the person I spoke to suggested that I take it back to the store I bought it from and get a different one.  I did just that.

I exchanged that one for the exact same model.  In the car it worked great!  I called Tech Support again and made sure to follow their instructions to a tee.  Again, I got a blank screen.  We tried to reset the tomtom.  We tried to wipe the memory clear and reboot it with new maps.  We were on the phone for another hour when again, I was told to take it back and get a new one.  I was also told at that point that Customer Support was getting a lot of calls regarding this model and that most of the customers were bing told to take it back and get a new one.

Sad to say, but I took it back and bought another brand.  It works great!
