I feel extremely lucky to have been able to get this yesterday for the sale price for today at only $120.  After weighing the pros and cons between this model and the magellan 3200. I figured that this was a much better bang for my buck.  It has extremly exceeded my expectations and works much better than an older magellan that we had used before.

So i bought my TomTom because I am terribly with directions and I can't read a map to save my life ( and at the time I got a good deal for $149). I really am happy with my purchase with only a few gripes. First the good things. I love how small and lightweight the unit is. Some of the older models were a bit bulky, but like most things, it's getting smaller over time. The directions are very easy to understand and I love how they give them to you with ample time to follow them ( example "turn left in two miles"). I have had to travel long distances a lot lately and I wouldn't have been comfortable driving without my Tom Tom One.  I used to just print off directions from mapquest. The bad thing about that is if you miss a turn, you have to figure out how to get back. The Tom Tom automatically re-routes your directions for you.  It has so many great features. You can look up the nearest hotel or gas station or restaurant.  It even shows the telephone numbers so you can call ahead.  Have enjoyedmy Tom Tom, the only problem that keeps occurring is that it takes a while for the gps to find a signal once the power turns on, other than that i love, pronounces the streets and also if you make a wrong turn it auto correct itself to get you on the right path.

The Tom Tom One LE Portable GPS Automobile Navigator has made my catch phrase obsolete.   The family joke with my 3 boys was always "We are NOT lost, we are finding new places", because that is what I always said when we got lost.  If I had not been to a destination before I always left 30 - 60 minutes early to ensure that we got there on time.

Now that I have Tom Tom, I always get where I am going.  The best thing about it is that it tells me how long it will take so I can plan my time accordingly.  My worst pet peeve is being late.  With Tom Tom I am never late and I am never lost.

This is by far the best GPS unit I have ever used. It is very simple and easy to follow, not to complicated. I can mount it in one car and easily remove it to the other. I use it everyday for just about everywhere I go. Even when I have directions or am going somewhere I've been a million times, Its still good to know the best route to take at that time of day. I am a former truck driver who is accustomed to using a street map to get to my destination. When I purchased my TomTom one I threw the maps in the closet because the TomTom One gets me to my destinations without trouble and I am amazed at how accurate and up-to-date the street maps are that are included in the device. Often you buy street maps that are not up-to-date or accurate. With the TomTom One I can hook it up to my Laptop and update it on-line, anywhere I have an Internet connection.
