The Tom Tom One provides a great value for budget minded GPS consumer.
A preloaded United States of America map is provided and has proven fairly accurate for the few different states I've used it in. However, on a few occasions the Maps have not been updated for new road construction and the device becomes confused. Fortunately it was clear the device was not providing proper direction, and so continuing to drive eventually lead to the device recognizing the proper turns (it located the areas not affected by new construction).
The satelites are fairly stable once the Tom Tom finds one. I have experienced a wait of up to 5 minutes for it to initally connect on a few occasions, but typically it provides direction in about a minute.
Occasionaly it won't recognize an address that I input. But I'd say it recognizes them with aobut 95% accuracy.
The auto re-calculate direction feature is very helpful if you miss a turn or decide to make a stop on the way to your destination.
I use the device on a weekly basis and found it was well worth the investment.
