Borrowed a friends unit to drive from Wisconsin to Florida. Did not have the manual. We were able to easily program it with the onscreen prompts. Got us to our destination without ANY mishaps.

If you take a side trip, it starts to get very annoyed and wants you back on track. There were a few times that I wanted to shut the thing up.
